I'm disappointed that Spamhaus is gone. I liked that forum.

I'm also disappointed that the Spamhaus is gone, it was a great way to kill a bit of time waiting for health/mana/spirit to regenerate on the HentaiVerse and increase post count and do a bit of karma whoring.

I don't think either the execution or the timing was very good, it seemed to be on a whim more than a planned de-feature even the Twitter post alludes to it.

As stated by previous posters apparently a lot of other sub-forums are now being spammed so I'd like to offer a couple of suggestions:

1.) Recreate the Spamhaus a 'Restricted' sub-forum open to accounts that have been active for x amount of time.

2.) Make the Spamhaus forum limited to those who donate $20 (isn't that the cost of the first Metallic Aura?) that way if bandwidth is an issue members are essentially paying for the privilege to spam, Tenboro earns some money to feed his ponies and it is unlikely to be broken into my bots.

It all comes down to a poorly timed closing of Spamhaus. If you have a botter problem, deal with the botters, not the legitimate bonus seekers. I fail to understand the reasoning behindc losing the Spamhaus after the botter problem. How does that stop the botters? What's to stop the botters moving to a more serious thread?

If you want to change the 10-post bonus system, fine, but do it at the same time you close the Spamhaus!

Beryl and Tenboro can huff and puff about spammers and temp banning people, but they ought to look at the mirror and see who caused this.

i thought T put the mazes and pony charts in HV to stop people from botting the game, so what would they have to gain by botting 10 posts for the bonus anyway or did i miss something? also, wouldnt it be faster to just post 10 times than it would to make a bot for that? i dont know much about bots because i have never used them for anything and have no desire to learn how so i apologize in advance for my ignorance.

There's a lot things against Spamhaus. The karma circle jerking, people making more and more threads in there than just spamming the ones they, people making more threads just to piss Sonic off and the recent douchebag who multipost spammed several forums.

Honestly, I don't think most of you knew how the EXP bonus worked. If you read the wiki, it doesn't mention a thing about posts giving you an experience bonus for ten posts or more. You get 10% of what you need to level for each level with your Dawn of a New Day, not including the ability points for EXP, auras and difficulty bonuses you have available to level up, what fucking more do you do you people need? Someone to play the game for you legitimately while you count your teeth?

It's good to know one of the reasons for Spamhaus' deletion, however; I still question to logic behind it being one a new system is in place and two a purpose of the Spamhaus WAS to karma whore if there wasn't wouldn't there be a sticky saying so and all threads made would be deleted?

It just seems that Tenboro is doing a lot of experimenting which is fine it takes time, hard work and good effort to find the right groove which he's doing and that's great, I disagree with how he's doing it though a little explanation goes a long way hence the disappointment and ensuing chaos of the forums with temp bans and Hell Modes as a consequence.

A simple post saying:

The Spamhaus forum has been removed because....(insert reasons here)

Is better than simply removing it (or any feature/forum) with very little explanation, I find it interesting that it's done that way where the site itself and the HentaiVerse both have threads with updates/changes that are easy to read, detailed and the yaysayers and naysayers are largely limited by those single threads. Tenboro deleted a bunch of them awhile back when they were getting out of hand. Those forums were intended to be used for threads that really served no purpose other than to kill some time with an inane post, not so you could abuse the karma system.

The guy owns and runs the site, he doesn't have to explain anything to you or me or anyone else if he decides to do something different. I can see where it would of been nice if I were some Spamhaus scum I would of liked a heads up, but when you're openly abusing something the man put in to make the site somewhat interesting, fun and unique, I can't help but think the guy can't help in be a little pissed and not owe any of you anything. You have your accounts, you can still post, access the forums and galleries and such, be glad he didn't ban you.

I'm not even sure where you're getting at with this. HV has nothing to do with Spamhaus, so you're basically rambling here.

Well....there was EXP bonus for 10 posts, but of course the wiki's updated after the patch, so you don't see that. I do agree with you though.

"No spambots." That's not what it looked like to me when I was there. There was multiple newcomer accounts just sitting in one single thread for hours. The thread jumped to 7,000+ posts in under 10 minutes.

People need to stop bitching about Spamhaus. It's gone, deal with it. Tenboro has his own motives and doesn't need to tell any of us jack shit about what he does with his site. Don't like it? Leave. Simple as that. Most everyone that posted there is horrible. I posted there, but in about three threads which were actually decent.
