This thing has no PAB!

I found the problem. Leather Armor can potentially *not* have a bonus Strength, Agility, or Dexterity stat. This might mean that the minimum PAB roll is 0.

You might have rolled the "lucky" triple 0 on the PAB slot machine for leather armor.

Kevlar and Shade doesn't have this "quirk" fortunately.

To add to that, the new curse-weaving mechanism is a huge mana sink. I was used to just casting Silence, Poison, and Nerf on FSM. Silence missing once in a blue moon is okay, since I start re-casting with 1 turn left. Missing twice almost never happens, but now with Nerf and Poison active I'm lucky if Silence gets cast on the 3rd or 4th try. I would understand if curse-weaving only kicked in on spells that used to cancel each other (Silence and Weaken). But all deprecating spells lumped into one? This forces me to only cast Silence to avoid casting Spark of Life to save on mana or try to cast my usual spells and use all my mana potions while doing so.

Both of these make me want to re-do my abilities. But it's not like I screwed up, the game changed.

As a mage I find it hard to believe that this update is good for us, sure we can nuke monsters better, but they seem to be doing mush more damage as well. This is from my latest encounter on round 6 of Dreamfall Arena on Normal:

2 4 Sandy is agitated!
2 3 Razzia hits you for 2429 piercing damage.
2 2 Sandy uses Razzia
2 1 You hit Sandy for 1015 crushing damage.

That attack nearly killed me and is more than half my life total of 4308 and it was from only one custom monster on NORMAL. This update seems to be high risk - high reward, with both monsters and players dealing more damage.

Not sure if someone's brought this up, but consider the following situation:

FSM currently has Silence and Weaken deprecations on it. I cast Silence on FSM because it's almost worn off. Curse-weaving kicks in, considers Silence as a third deprecation, and does the math to see if Silence lands or not.

Either the wording of curse-weaving needs to be changed or the actual code needs to consider that a re-cast of the same deprecation should not trigger curse-weaving since casting Silence in this case only serves to renew the same deprecation and not add a third deprecation to the target.

1 will please all players in general, 2 will please players who don't use weapons that have procs (what?), but 3 is probably just plain easier for Tenboro.

If by legendary estoc you mean 2 exquisite leather drops when I only had 4 total exquisite drops before yesterday then sure.

And if by exquisite leather I mean with only middling rolls on every stat.

Upping all my item trainings by several levels in the past week or so sure has helped (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

It's good for us because you are more probably to make a one-turn-kill.

Just play in difficulties you can kill all monsters (except for resistance monsters) in first turn so you almost won't take any damage.

In high difficulties (IWBHT encounter, grindfest), use weaken on every single monster then you can be very safe, and the mana using is still lower than 0.6.6 .
