1. I don't believe I have that kind of power.

I couldn't avoid that... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Add Balance as secondary suffix for Power?

Umm... Possibly. But I can't be sure for 100%.

QUOTE(Kaosumx @ May 3 2012, 20:19) *

Cotton, leather - set minimum to magnificent. Don't encourage people to sell exquisishit to noobs.
You would want it to be as high as possible for prof grinding. If you want to use it for not prof grinding, then you would need to mention that it must have high base mdb and high conservation for it to be valuble. Put something about this in there. We don't want people thinking 5 percent mana conservation on their superior redwood staff is useful. Probably should raise the min quality for focus staffs to exquisite.

Won't raise minimum quality for leather and cotton. You give advice for what people should buy which is not what I am trying to do. I'm merely stating my opinion on what sells not if I agree with what people chose to buy.
Should I raise min quality for both redwood and willow?
I won't give advice on values as I don't know enough of them. I don't think Skillchip is finished with collecting numbers on that either. But I will make a note in the post that mana conservation is the stat that matter.
QUOTE(varst @ May 3 2012, 20:20) *

1. No, clothes and leather are useless.

2. Balance weapons are also quite useless. You won't compare to crap suffix (ox) and say it's useful.

3. Power armor is rarer than shield armor.

4. Mana conservation is one of the quality factors, so you can't say it's independent.

Seriously, if you are not sure about the mage part, why are you still making the list?
Remember that it's not the chat thread where you can say anything without (much) consequence.
It's your thread, and if you listed something you're unsure, ultimately you will be the one that get hurt.

1. Not evaluating usefulness, I'm evaluating market demand.
2. Point of having secondary suffix is to show that there are suffixes that are not as good as the primary but better than the other useless ones (Ox) which Balance is especially for low level players.
3. Got to take your word on that will lower minimum quality for Power to average.
4. Still not sure about that but I may be wrong.
I stated that I was unsure of the mage part and that is one of the primary reasons for me to make this thread.
This is a stupid browser game that I care to much about but not that much.
I am not using profanity, insults advocating cheating etc. How is what I am doing so wrong? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
Are you treatening me? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
If so with what?
At most I might be banned which is not the end of my life and as far as I know only Tenboro has that power and he's a nice guy as far as I can tell who would do something like that unprovoced.
QUOTE(varst @ May 3 2012, 20:24) *

That's why I'm against such lists. Noobs should learn the hard way.
Making a list for noobs will just induce their laziness. Again.

The lazy people should inherit the earth! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I see no problem with making it easier for noobs.

I finally figures out why you are so negative you want to have a monopoly on this kind of advice!
Varst giving advice that apparently it is stupid to give!

I'm just giving my opinions as long as people are asking. I even sorted that information when Joe suggested to add the post you've mentioned into wiki. Once upon a time I also sorted the valuable equips for a guy instead of telling him to open a shop and try that himself.
Monopoly of advising? Maybe you're correct. But I insist on doing that as long as my advices are true and helpful.

What's the point of 'asking for opinions' if you don't really listen to what people have said against your idea?
I and Kaosumx have said numerous times: equipment ranges is a better way to evaluate an equip's usefulness. But you turn down the idea just because you don't know enough of those numbers.
So I'll be asking you: why do you think people should evaluate equips according to quality prefix? What's the advantage besides providing a way for people to get lazy?

How many times can you say the same thing?
I showed you giving advice on exactly the same subject I am doing here and your still going on?
I never critized the quality of your advice and if that is your problem with my advice feel free to be concrete with what I have gotten wrong.
I'm not asking for opinions on the basic idea of my list. If I was i would have asked in the chat thread and not posted a new thread.
In the post I stated right of the bat that Equipment Ranges is better but that I wanted a simple faster way to clear my inventory. Perhaps you have the time and patience to look through hundreds of pieces of Equipment stats and make individual judgement I don't. To judge by prefix and suffix is the basic idea of this thread and if enough people do, which I'm quite certain they do, that will set the price which determine equipment saleability. I'm not saying judging a piece of Equipment by its suffix and prefix is a great or even a good idea. I am saying that it is a decent idea especially for low quality equipment. I'm giving advice on the market for equipment not the objective quality.
Yes, the advantage is the makes peoples lives easier or as you put it makes them lazy. That is the only reason i need.

Not asking for price advice!
Asking if there is a market at all!
Made a point of writing that I am not making pricing advice if you check the first post.
People have to start somewhere and why not here?
Everyone can not be or want to be expert traders.

oops. was being too specific. *trade advice*

it only took me a glance to find out what has a market and what doesn't. unless you're suggesting the majority of players are vastly inferior to me in that sense (which i strongly doubt) then it should only take them a glance as well

in which case, the determining factor is effort aka laziness/lack of it.
