QUOTE(Muramasa777 @ May 7 2012, 00:30) I meant in general. Some times people have asked you to postpone due date and you declined. No offense, though, just stating.
If my memory doesn't fail me, I remember that I declined once to Cowpies, when he asked me to make his requests without deadlines. I did it because if there's no deadline, then there's no ending & no victor. Also if someone wants to delay that's kinda pointless, because there's the repeat option. QUOTE(Malkuth @ May 7 2012, 00:44) Short progress report... panels are in different states (sketches, lineart, etc). But only 6 panels are missing, I guess I'll be done with the line-art/"inking" by next weekend. Then I will decide the final borders and dialogues (to hide errors (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ). In between, right-to-left, and top-to-bottom. So there's a little "story" in this orgy party? @BrainSucks: The characters are the student council from High School DxD, they shortly appeared in a couple of episodes in the anime and are basically background characters in the volume, therefore salvaged from the idiocy of the franchise. The general story is that Akeno (a main character and friendly rival to the student council) trolls their vice-president, by claiming that consuming sperm increases their power (like succubi)... in between all of them are demons. Anyway, Souna, the council president, summons all the schools male students to fill in the seven girls. These first half deals with the Lolli Attack, where you risk your pawn, knight and rook, for a rapid offense... these are incidentally the junior members of the student council, which give head and get ass-fucked in the first pages. The hardcore stuff are in the second part with the senior members (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Anyway, some general stuff: * I do not mind the deadline, for me it's just a motivation to collect random sketches. * Is it OK to upload the same pages with the japanese dialogue in pixiv... and link to magazine... * Which has to do with the license if any we decide on. * How do you plan to distribute (as img collection through the site, separate project, other)? * Guys and girls, there is too much teasing and clothes in the other sketches... we need more ACTION for an adult magazine (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) * I also saw some banned list, that includes violence, gore, beastiality, shotacon, and yaoi? These are quite unpopular with mainstream western audiences. Nonetheless, I am interested in drawing Hastur getting chopped and gang-rapped (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

How to draw manga o_o... i read those... it didn't help me one bit.(i actually have some of those how to draw manga books but only the ones with the computones since thats what i really wanted) And on average a doujinshi actually takes about 3 months or so to complete, some even more. These are self produced works with hardly any assistants no editors and whatnot etc.etc... take into comparison a weekly manga which is done weeks ahead, and most pros have assistants for toning,backgrounds, minor detail work etc. And they have an editor with which to consult. oh yeah i have 5 pages total... so far, without quality drops i dont think i can draw any faster. (edit: i need a new hdd.... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) mine are almost full) This post has been edited by terumi56: May 7 2012, 01:57

Not helping. QUOTE I am interested in drawing Hastur getting chopped and gang-rapped (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Okay, I am now very scared to look at whatever the hell is going to be put into this. QUOTE oh yeah i have 5 pages total... so far, without quality drops i dont think i can draw any faster. How many pages are you planning on cranking out...? Also, maybe you should try and pace yourself. It's been a week, and you've done 5 pages already? Yikes.

it's kind of tricky...about the deadlines and the Art Battle maybe we really need an Editor, all artist that want to participate can submitted any numbers above 7 pages long, then the Editor, in this case is Brainsucks..will manage it to be published in 1 month period, and also the drawings that win any challenges in the Art Battles maybe we can have some of them as a pin-ups..or why not published it along side with the manga..as an supplements or vice versa? just a thought

A better choice IMHO are video tutorials, especially for electronic tools. Then again, I did my first drawing last year, and my job is not even remotely relevant, so my opinion is probably of limited value in the subject (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) QUOTE(terumi56 @ May 7 2012, 00:52) And on average a doujinshi actually takes about 3 months or so to complete, some even more. (edit: i need a new hdd.... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) mine are almost full) For circles that doujinshi are a high (never first) priority, it takes 3-12 months to produce about 15-20 color or 30-40 grey-scale pages. Manga with one artist (hentai or not) publish 5-30 pages per month with very varying quality independent of the artist's skill. Popular shounen manga (which is limited basically to Weekly Shounen Jump) put out 100-150 pages per month, but that is work of several artists' and the quality is very low. Shounen though was never my thing so I might be a tad bit off. ... and all these guys not only have studied something relevant, they have spend their lives drawings manga.

QUOTE What about these questions ??? the first three are statements, not questions. To the latter one, I believe Brain will bundle them up, and then post them to the E-hentai Galleries. QUOTE Popular shounen manga (which is limited basically to Weekly Shounen Jump) put out 100-150 pages per month, but that is work of several artists' and the quality is very low. Debatable, But also worth noting is that you're comparing someone who does hentai in his/her/its free time to someone that often has a small crew of artists and devotes the day to drawing, as it's their job. And even then, it's about 19 pages a week per artist, including inking, but not necessarily coloring. Also, 3-12 months is a very wide scale.

Doujinshi have a lot of variety. Toko-ya (Heizo & Kitou En) published about 15 doujinshi (426 pages in total) in 2011. Ishikei, Aruchu and TONY put out 20-30 pages each last year.

We're going for more like COMIC AUN or COMIC LO or the like, so more on a monthly schedule. So by comparison, Ishikei, Aruchu and Taka tony are irrelevant. Toko-ya... maybe. Some basic maths show that they're cranking out an average of 28.4 pages per doujinshi at that rate, although I'm not sure if title pages or cover pages are counted in your totals. Our listed goal length is 4-6 pages according to Brain. But otherwise, with 5ish people meeting that minimum, we'd be at Toko-ya's pace. Muramasa is already near double that, and Terumi is worried that he won't be able to make enough pages, at a pace of approximately 1 every 2 days, rounding up. So nothing to split hairs over, I'd say we're right on track. *nod* QUOTE First one was my missquote... still...
* license? * publish/share individually?
I say we put a big superimposed cow as a watermark xD And it's a compilation gallery, so all artists would be credited with contributions, but publishing individually would be utter chaos from a managerial perspective. It's easier if Brain, who is organizing the whole shebang, just makes one gallery. And it's mostly just for shits and giggles anyway.
