I'd say that MMM do a good 80% of what HVStat do, maybe in a different way but in most case MMM is far better (excluded the showmonsterHP).

Any chrome lowest version requirement for Monsterbator? I installed it at Iron v27 and nothing happens when I hover over a monster. I checked code and it only confused me more.

At least chrome >=45 (it seems to be the first version to support arrow functions). Anyway, I would get the last version if possible. This post has been edited by Sapo84: Aug 27 2017, 14:44

QUOTE(Maharid @ Aug 27 2017, 08:27) Made a test both on https and http, on Firefox, seem to work... badly.
There are a lot of problems, like stopping advancing rounds, stopping showing monster HP, completely stopping working and so on.
Used in comination with Monsterbation will increase problems.
I have got a few levels while testing before releasing, and I have not noticed any serious problems. So I need more information. Maybe some compatibility issue with other extensions/userscripts? Does Firefox shows any errors in Browser console (Ctrl+Shift+J) or Web console (F12 -> Console) when HVStat stops working completely or partially?

It just break randomply, somtime only a part, sometime it go off completely.
But i'm not really good at that, there are more proficient users in bug hunting here, hope they took on the case.

Can someone tell me what is the current situation regarding the following things please? -Item Manager/HVUT => I'd really like something that works 100%, it's kind of annoying me to have a square at all times in top left, and missing scrolling arrows in the bazaar. -scripts regarding equipment stats, aside from percentile ranges
I'm asking because scripts really aren't a thing that I'm following closely.

1.-HVUT has been abandoned (or so) and looks like no one is interested in the HVIT... sad. 2.- Very good! check last post: there is a very big and nice one that gives you even graphics... but it has its issues.

I'm asking because scripts really aren't a thing that I'm following closely. f4tal is working on adding features to Item Manager (next few days), and I'm waiting for Jenga's ranges API to come online (next day or less, hopefully) so I can fully integrate percentile tags into Item Manager. (Not just some tags, but tags for all stats, hopefully) You can right click to change the position of the button box. hc br's version of Item Manager, at least, hasn't done anything with the bazaar buttons, as far as I can tell (and mousewheel works for scrolling too). (I'm also hoping to use that API for Percentile Ranges to grab its data from, resulting in much more detailed percentile stats, though HV Chart is probably easier for visualization) This post has been edited by Superlatanium: Aug 27 2017, 17:58

HVUT is still property of ssss. i don't know where these rumors come from, but neither reward nor lack of interest were the matter. every now and then he had updated me saying that he was reworking it to make it modular, probably arranging a bit of GUI etc etc. deal involved an equip comparison module as well. at a certain point he said he had to stop because of "technical issues and personal reasons". a little chance he may restart on it, but don't hold your breath for now. f4tal was trying to patch item manager (and reached some results, afaik - you can spot some posts here and there in which he asks random things, it's for that reason), but these days he told me that it'll be better to restart it from zero. apart for standard IM functions and a bit of tweaks, it will include equip comparison (with direct queries from jenga's database, so no need to hardcode wiki's tables anymore) and foobarftw's radar graph module as well. take it with a grain of salt (and waiting for f4tal's confirmation), but it *should* rely on my spreadsheets' algorythm and also include superlatanium's percentile script. also, i don't have any datas about the time it will require. nor i'll ask him, since i guess he has his fair load of troubles already. this is the short version, less or more.

Oh, all of that? Actually, that's a pretty nice idea, if it's possible to integrate everything: they all do similar enough functions, and it's better for everything to have a single consistent source.

this is what i suggested him and afaik he's *trying* to do. let's see what he can do, but he seems to be putting a lot of effort into this. also, the radar graph simplified his work, he told me - so at least that problem should be solved.

Well I would like to add: a big thanks to Sssss2, f4tal, Superlatanium for the effort even if some efforts may have failed so far. You are appreciated.

Haven't done extensive testing, but can confirm that if you switch off everything that conflicts with Monsterbation, HVStats seems to work without any problems. If any more info is needed (e.g. the settings I use) ask and I'll post it here.

so they indeed have some overlapping functions. could you mention which ones, please?

Overlaps (may not be exhaustive): Hotkeys; Round counter; Powerup box; Log highlight; Log turn dividers; Monster scan stuff; Extra buttons (kind of); Numbers instead of letters next to monsters; Auto-advance round; Highlight @ low HP/MP/SP; Various alerts (e.g. SoL triggered, channeling, buff about to fall off, etc); Monster database; Monster HP gauge scaling; Monster stats related stuff; Non-overlaps: Tracking functions; Change page title (don't know if it works); Show equipped set number (don't know if it works); Warnings before starting Challenge if difficulty over X (don't know if it works); Equipment tags (looked weird with HV Item Manager). P.S. don't remember what it's even supposed to do; Final round reminder (is this even useful?) (don't know if it works); The effect expiring warnings function seems a bit more powerful (but don't know if it works); Record monster skills function (don't know if it works); Show monster MP/SP percentage (don't know if it works); May not be a comprehensive list, but i tried~~~

QUOTE f4tal is working on adding features to Item Manager (next few days) QUOTE f4tal was trying to patch item manager Yes I do =) Sadly, last days I have a little pressure on a work and have not so much free time to work on a script. But most core features (filter with regular expression, conditions and grouping, bazaaring, salvaging, mailing and settings) are up and ready. Right now, I am working on IW-thing - I want to add few extra features to that feature, as well, create few shortcuts to enter last IW and quickly reforge item. Also, I want to put in Item Manager drop/gift/salvage logger. As for radar thing - yes, want to add that one too, but probably after Superlatanium would release his Jenga-based approach to his Percentile script. And yes, it is better to rebuild Item Manager from scratch (because it has patches rigth from version 0.76 of the game and has some weak points here and there). I have mailed holy_demon (original author) and he wished me luck =) QUOTE Actually, that's a pretty nice idea, if it's possible to integrate everything: they all do similar enough functions, and it's better for everything to have a single consistent source. I have an idea to create "Monsterbation" script for non-battle part of hentaiVerse and working on Item Manager is first step to achieve that dream. QUOTE(f4tal @ Aug 27 2017, 22:15) good boy. take your time. btw, nothing wrong with releasing only IM features for now and all the rest in a second moment, if you prefer. this would also have the side advantage of letting the community start with the beta test sooner. but really your call.

that's an useful list, thank you. now, my intention was to remove the overlapping functions from HVStat, and keep it as an optional tracking module (especially if the coder says he prefers to keep it as an extension, which means users won't be able to configure it unless a GUI is provided). eventually HVStat should receive also Battle Stats's unique features. any opinions?

Turning it to a script with all the unique feature settable like MMM will be a fantastic achievement but i think that it will be a lot of work (more cause effectively a GUI will be needed to use it at his max extent).
But there is a thing, Firefox will be stopping supporting all old extensions in few months, it will go all webextensions, so if this will be released as an extension we risk to be unable to use it in little time (or to be forced to not update a clinet to use HV on it).
