Here's the skinny:I go to Blockbuster at 4:00am every morning and rent the week's new releases, then review the films at Yahoo!Movies. But now I'm expanding my reviews. Basically I'll tell you how the movie is and the extras. I'll rate it from 0-5 stars. The best reviewed DVD is my "DVD of the Week". THIS IS MY OPINION ON THESE FILMS so if you disagree, feel free to bitch as much as you like. It's not my problem. Here's the first batch.

Week of:August 7th

Disturbia($19.99. $15.99 this week at Walmart)-Starring Shia LeBeouf, Sarah Roemer, Davie Morse
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/002099.jpg)
This teen thriller about a boy("Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf) under house arrest who thinks his neighbor(David Morse) could be a serial killer did good in theaters. Three weeks in a row at the top of the box office don't lie. Even I found a liking to the film. As for the DVD there's commentary, bloopers, a making of, deleted scenes, and more. The movie rocked and the DVD is good as well. The verdict:**** out of *****.

Are We Done Yet?($19.99)-Starring Ice Cube, Nia Long, John C. McGinley
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/000956.jpg)
This sequel to the 2005 family comedy makes me wish that they ARE done with this series. This movie sucked ass. The first was alright. On the DVD you get bloopers, a making of, and a featurette dubbed "Chuck Mitchell Jr.-Jack of All Trades". Not much fun at all if you ask me,not even for kids. The verdict:*1/2 out of *****.

TMNT($19.99)-Starring(all are voiceovers)Patrick Stewart, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mako, Laurence Fishburne
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/000936.jpg)
The turtles came back this March and I expected a dark version of the series, with their new looks. Well, they got it 40% right. The movie was very average. The DVD features are an alternate beginning and ending, deleted scenes, commentary, and a featurette on the voiceovers. It's just not enough though. The verdict:** out of *****.

I Think I Love My Wife($19.99)-Starring Chris Rock, Kerry Washington, Gina Torres, Steve Buscemi
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/002191.jpg)
This film from the mind of funnyman Chris Rock didn't go well with some people but I thought it was alright for a comedy-drama. The DVD comes in a dual disc(not 2-disc, dumbasses!!) that has deleted and alternate scenes, outtakes, commentary, and more. Not too bad yet not too good either. The verdict:***out of *****.

Unaccompanied Minors($19.99)-Starring Tyler J. Williams, Wilmer Valderrama, Lewis Black
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001857.jpg)
I think this movie only got half of what it hoped for last Christmas. The cast and plot was good but the movie just fell apart. The DVD has deleted scenes, commentary, and two featurettes. Lightweight film. The verdict **1/2 out of *****.

The DVD of the Week is.............Disturbia with a great review of ****.

Well that's it for this week. Next week I'll review Wild Hogs, Vacancy, Fracture, The Lookout, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters.

Really now? I thought Disturbia sucked. It was so cliché that there was little or no suspense at all.

Okay I'll rewind a week and go all "300". It may have been released last week but I'll review it since you guys are bickering about it. I'll also put the other July 31 releases, just for kicks.

"300"(1 disc-$19.99 2-disc-$23.99)-Starring Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, Rodrigo Santoro, Michael Fassbender, David Wenham
(IMG:[www.collider.com] http://www.collider.com/uploads/imageGallery/Three_Hundred_DVD_300/300_special_edition_dvd__1_.jpg)
Well you wanted and here it is. The great "300" DVD review. The image you see above you is the 2-disc special edition. I never saw the film in the theaters so I bought the 2-disc. That was $23.99 VERY WELL spent. This flick kicked ass. Some critic called it "the God of all guy movies". Boy he wasn't bullshitting. The extra for the single disc is a commentary. The 2-disc has the commentary AND, additional scenes, 3 featurettes including one with the guy behind it all:Frank Miller, webisodes, and the trailer. BUY THE TWO DISC, even if you haven't seen the film yet. This will be on my "Top 5 Films of '07" for sure. The verdict:1-disc:****1/2 out of *****, 2-disc:*****out of *****.
Also this week-

Hot Fuzz($19.99)-Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Timothy Dalton, Bill Nighy
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/002008.jpg)
I enjoyed 2004's "Shaun of the Dead". It had enough gore and giggles to make it be one of my favorites from '04. And now the same guys brought "Hot Fuzz" which will be one of my favorites of '07. The wat they combine the action and comedy(the swan scene!!!). The DVD has commentary, outtakes, a "Fuzz-o-meter" like the "Zomb-o-meter" from"Shaun", and more. Too bad the 2-disc version is only available in the UK. Still great and funny as hell though. The verdict:****out of *****.

Pathfinder($19.99)-Starring Karl Urban, Moon Bloodgood, Russell Means, Clancy Brown
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001635.jpg)
THis movie sucks donkey dick. Trust me don't waste your time. This crappy action film made me turn it off 7 minutes into the film. I watched the far superior "Hot Fuzz" then I decided to actually sit through the rest. The DVD which is Unrated has additional scenes that the theater version didn't("too gruesome for theaters"? HA, they are not!!), deleted scenes, commentary, six "behind the scenes" bits, a documentary on Clancy Brown, and the trailer. Please steer clear of this piece of junk Unrated(the theatrical is worse) DVD. The verdict:Rated:1/2 out of *****, Unrated:* out of *****.

There was also "Firehouse Dog" but it got **1/2 out of *****.

The DVD of the Week is............300 with an incredible review of *****.

So there. I gave you your precious "300", and another two films. Remember, I'll be back August 14 for more reviews.

Here's 3 requests:

Borat:Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan($19.99)-Starring Sacha Baron Cohen
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/002052.jpg)
All hail the funniest(and most controversial) film of 2006. This movie was so fantastically funny it got nominated for an Oscar(Best Adapted Screenplay), but lost to "The Departed". I don't know why some people say Borat is a dumb movie. Anyways, the DVD has deleted scenes, 4 featurettes including a "Baywatch" spoof and Borat's "World Promotion Tour", a soundtrack infomercial, and trailers. Plus as an added bonus, if you bought the DVD at Walmart during the first 2 weeks of its release(March 6. Sorry guys. The bonus is gone), you got a free "Glorious Kazakhstan" T-shirt. Very great film and funny extras. The verdict:****1/2 out of *****.

The Last King of Scotland($19.99)-Starring Forest Whitaker, James McAvoy, Kerry Washington, Gillian Anderson
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/000872.jpg)
This movie got Forest Whitaker a Best Actor Oscar this year. And I can see why. His performance of the barbaric Idi Amin was so frighteningly great. That was actually the best part of the film. The whole film itself is good but I'm not saying that it should've been nominated for Best Picture("The Departed" won fairly!!). The DVD has deleted scenes, 2 behind the scenes featurettes, and trailers. The verdict:**** out of *****.

Pan's Labyrinth(1-disc-$19.99, 2-disc-$23.99)-Starring Ivana Baquero, Segi Lopez, Maribel Verdu, Doug Jones
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/003669.jpg)
This movie's visuals KICKED MOTHERFUCKING ASS!!!!! It isn't no kids fairytale, that's for sure. The visuals were the real star of the show. This movie won 3 of it's 6 Oscar noms, including Best Art Direction and Best Makeup.
The single disc has commentary and trailers. The two disc has this AND 3 featurettes, an interview with director Guillermo Del Toro, and text/photo galleries. GREAT FOREIGN FILM. The verdict:****1/2 out of *****.

And to answer a question: "Mr. Brooks", starring Kevin Costner and Dane Cook, isn't ready for DVD yet. But if you wish to know the movie's, not the DVD's, review I give the film a creepily good **** out of *****. Check late this year or very early '08 for the thriller's DVD debut.

This movie is actually a remake of the 1972 French film, Love in the Afternoon by Éric Rohmer. An interesting story about how this verson of the film came to be, Chris Rock, sick of american film making, rented severl old forign films in hopes of finding a film that would actually peak his interest; which love in the afternoon did.

Just thought I'd mention that. Also, I'd like to recomen for review Stranger than Fiction starring Will Farrel. This is a film that on the outside looks fairly funny but it is deffenitally an interlectual comedy. I.E. Not everybody is going to get the jokes.

Stranger Than Fiction($14.99)-Starring Will Ferrell, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Queen Latifah, Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/000821.jpg)
This isn't your ordinary Will Ferrell film. Only this and 2005's "Winter Passing" are his dramatic entries. Comdey-drama to be exact. The movie was pretty good for not being gross out like most of Ferrell's other films. He even got nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance. The DVD has deleted scenes, 6 featurettes, and interviews. Nothing TOO special but a great film overall. The verdict:**** out of *****.

Alright here's week 2. Did "Wild Hogs" have enough road laughs to be "DVD of the Week"? Or maybe "Vacancy" whipped up enough scares to take the title. Prepare to find out.

Week of: August 14

Vacancy($19.99)-Starring Luke Wilson, Kate Beckinsale, Frank Whaley
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/002200.jpg)
The creeps are in somewhat full effect in this creepy thriller. I think this is good for a couple scares and is one of Luke Wilson's better films. The DVD has an alternate opening, deleted scenes, and 2 featurettes, one of which is an extension of the snuff films. You'll check in this hotel, but check out after a view or two. It's a rental. The verdict:*** out of *****.

Fracture($19.99)-Starring Anthony Hopkins, Ryan Gosling, Rosamund Pike
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001847.jpg)
From the director of "Hart's War" comes this twisted crime thriller. Anthony Hopkins, who is mostly known as Dr. Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lector, gives a good performance. He kind of reminds you of Lector, with his character playing the psychological game with an attorney played by Ryan Gosling("Half Nelson"). The DVD has deleted scenes and 2 alternate endings. It's no Hannibal, but it's still a pretty damn good caper. The verdict:**** out of *****.

Wild Hogs($19.99)-Starring John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, William H. Macy
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001825.jpg)
I saw this movie 4 weeks after it came out. My friends said it was good. Aftr seeing it, I don't know why people wasted $9.00 on this movie. It was VERY average. The stupid humor was just too stupid. But the thing that saved this movie was the A-list cast: the four fathers(Travolta, Allen, Lawrence, and Macy), the homo highway patrolman(John C. McGinley), thr rival biker gang leader(Ray Liotta), and cameos, including Paul. Sr. and Paul Jr. from "American Chopper", Ty Pennington and his crew from "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", and Peter Fonda, playing a role similar to his role of Wyatt in "Easy Rider". The DVD has commentary, an anlternate ending, a deleted scene(not scenes? come on guys), 2 featurettes, and outtakes. If not for the cast I'd be killing this film right now. The verdict:**1/2 out of *****.

The Lookout($19.99)-Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jeff Daniels, Isla Fisher, Matthew Goode
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001563.jpg)
Obviously no one heard about this superb crime film, otherwise it would've got more than $4.5 million at the box office. You didn't know what you were missing, but here's a second chance. Gordon-Levitt gives a great performance as a jaintor of a bank who gets caught up helping a group of people planning a heist at the same place. The DVD has commentary, a making of, and a featurette on Gordon-Levitt's character. You gotta check this one out soon. The verdict: **** out of *****.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters($19.99)-Starring the voices of Dana Snyder, Carey Means, Dave Willis
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/004130.jpg)
I never watched the show that much on adultswim(Family Guy, Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, and InuYasha are the good stuff). Maybe that's why I didn't really enjoy this film. Or it could've been that April Fool's Day joke they pulled on TV. It's really fucked up but it's got the voices of Chris Kattan and Bruce Campbell(Ash!!!!) in it. The DVD has Fake.com endings, deleted scenes, a making of, a music video, a trailer, and promos. It's for the fans. The verdict:**1/2 out of *****.

The DVDs of the Week are...... "The Lookout" and "Fracture", who tied with a great score of ****.

That's it for this week. Next week I'll be back with reviews of "Perfect Stranger", "Redline", "The Ex", "The Lives of Others", and "Robocop:20th Anniversary Collector's Edition".

Sorry for the lateness!!! Had a family member visit today(My older brother) and went to see "Superbad". Didn't get to Blockbuster till 4:30p.m. Anyway here's week 3.

Week of: August 21

Perfect Stranger($19.99)-Starring Halle Berry, Bruce Willis, Giovanni Ribisi
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001124.jpg)
So far I've reviewed some good thrillers(Vacancy, Disturbia, and Fracture). Now Perfect Stranger has to go and fuck it all up. I actually turned off the last 15 minutes cause I could already figure out what the twist was. The DVD has a making of and that's it. Not perfect at all. At least Willis redeemed himself with "Live Free or Die Hard". The verdict:* out of *****.

Redline($19.99)-Starring Nathan Phillips, Tim Matheson, Eddie Griffin
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/004128.jpg)
This movie tried to be like "The Fast and the Furious", but it didn't even get off the starting track. Even an alright cast couldn't save it from falling apart too quickly. And here's a fun fact: the original title for "The Fast and the Furious" was Redline. The DVD has a making of, the trailer, and a featurette about "Redline" at the LA auto show. It's not fast but it it did make me furious, wasting good money. The verdict:* out of *****.

The Ex($19.99)-Starring Zach Braff, Amanda Peet, Jason Bateman
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/000932.jpg)
What is happening this week? All the movies so far have sucked ass. "The Ex" sucked too, but slightly less. The DVD(which is available Unrated) has a blooper reel, deleted scenes, and alternate endings. This is one ex you don't want to see again, but it's a smidge better than the two previous films I've reviewed. The verdict:*1/2 out of *****.

The Lives of Others($19.99)-Starring Martina Gedeck, Ulrich Muehe, Sebastian Koch
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/002709.jpg)
The winner of "Best Foreign Film" at last year's Oscars must have been good, since it beat "Pan's Labyrinth". It 's not as food as "Pan but it's finally a good movie this week!!!!! This was an excellent film, even if it's in German language(use the subtitles, you tards). The DVD has deleted scenes, a making of, and an interview with the director. Jolly good show. The verdict:**** out of *****.

Robocop:20th Anniversary Collector's Edition($23.99)-Starring Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Ronny Cox
(IMG:[www.bigemma.com] http://www.bigemma.com/images/DVD_Robocop_20thSteel.jpg)
The cyborg cop is back in a 2-Disc 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition that is PACKED with extras. It can be viewed in an extended Unrated version and has such goodies as behind the scenes featurettes, deleted scenes, easter eggs, and much more. A MUST for Robocop fans, which I am one of. The verdict:****1/2 out of *****.

The DVD of the week is...... "Robocop:20th Anniversary Collector's Edition, with a near perfect score of ****1/2.

That's it for this week. Stick around, as I review "Blades of Glory", "Kickin' It Old Skool", "A Night At the Roxbury:Special Collector's Edition", and "Year of the Dog".

Due to my lateness I'm changing my shift. I will now go to Blockbuster at 1:00 a.m.(the Blockbuster near me is open 24 hours) and post my reviews betweem 6:00 and and 6:30 in the morning. And as a special treat I'll be announcing street dates of some of the year's hottest films periodically. Here are a few:

Knocked Up-September 25
28 Weeks Later-October 9
Mr. Brooks(Here ya go BunBun)-October 23
Transformers-November 6

Time for week 4.

Week of: August 28

Blades of Glory($19.99)-Starring Will Ferrell, Jon Heder, Craig T. Nelson, Will Arnett
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001343.jpg)
Well this movie did to pairs figure skating what "Talladega Nights" did to NASCAR: make it fuckin hilarious. THis movie is pretty much one long gay joke, but it manages to hang on though the ending, which I'm not telling, is FUCKED UP. You'll see what I mean. The DVD has a bundle of goods including deleted scenes, 3 MTV interstitials, additional footage, music videos, and more. It's not Ferrell's best but it's still worth at LEAST a look. Or two. Or three. Or five. The verdict:**** out of *****.

Kickin' It Old Skool($19.99)-Starring Jamie Kennedy, Miguel A. Nunez Jr., Bobby Lee
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/001955.jpg)
Poor Jamie Kennedy. You haven't had a good decent role since "Scream". Well you can add this waste to the list. This movie is not kickin'. Everything went wrong. The DVD(dual disc) has trailers and deleted scenes. You can only hope for the future, Kennedy. The verdict:* out of *****.

Year of the Dog($19.99)-Starring Molly Shannon, Peter Sarsgaard, Regina King
(IMG:[www.aceshowbiz.com] http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/poster/small/002082.jpg)
You may not have heard of this. Neither did I, but I still rented it. It's actually a good movie, if you got the time. The DVD has deleted scenes, a gag reel, commentary, and more. It's a rental at least. The verdict:***1/2 out of *****.

Quick Review:
A Night at the Roxbury:Special Collector's Edition($19.99)-Starring Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan
(IMG:[images.rottentomatoes.com] http://images.rottentomatoes.com/images/movie/coverv/85/135985.jpg)
SCORE! The Butabis are back in this collector's edtion. The movie was okay and the new extras are cool.
Score it isn't. Good it is. The verdict:***1/2 out of *****.

The DVD of the Week is......"Blades of Glory" with a great score of ****.
The DVD of the month is......"Robocop:20th Anniversary Collector's Edition"(Don't worry. "300" was July's).

That's it for this week. Next wek I'll be back with reviews of "Georgia Rule", "DOA:Dead or Alive", "Delta Farce", and "The Wind That Shakes the Barley". But here's a couple more future release dates.

Alright! Made it past Month 1. Well here's week 5.

Georgia Rule($19.99)-Starring Lindsay Lohan, Jane Fonda, Felicity Huffman
(IMG:[www.umc.org] http://www.umc.org/atf/cf/{DB6A45E4-C446-4248-82C8-E131B6424741}/movie_review_georgia_rule_poster1.jpg)
Alrighty starting off is Georgia Rule, a comedy/drama that had a chance, but broke about 40 minutes in. It's got a good cast including Jane Fonda, but mostly the cast doesn't save movies. The DVD has deleted scenes, 2 featurettes, commentary, a making of, gag reel, and a trailer. Not really worth the time unless you want to see Lohan before she got busted last month. The verdict:** out of *****.

Delta Farce($19.99)-Starring Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, DJ Qualls

Something retarded comes this way. Oh wait it's "Delta Farce". I like the comedy of Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall(whose show on TBS isn't that bad) but I don't like this movie. It reminds me of another bad movie that came out last year, "Larry the Cable Guy:Health Inspector". The DVD has commentary and 4 featurettes.
A farce indeed. The verdict:* out of *****.

Quick Review
DOA:Dead or Alive($19.99)-Starring Devon Aoki, Jamie Pressley, Natassia Malthe
(IMG:[www.horroria.com] http://www.horroria.com/i/nposters/02/51/25142-X6.jpg)
Well I had high hopes for a good M.B.V., but DOA fucked up like all the others. They didn't even rate the movie R! Not worth it at all. Theverdict:* out of *****.

The Wind That Shakes the Barley($19.99)-Starrin Cillian Murphy, Liam Cunningham, Padraic Delaney
(IMG:[irishkc.com] http://irishkc.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/wind-shakes-barley-150.jpg)
Here's actually a good one. Cillian Murphy of "28 Days Later" stars in this film about freedom fighters in 1920s Ireland. The film has great dramatic sequences and a good performance from Murphy. The DVD has some nice little goodies. A great find. The verdict:**** out of *****.

The DVD of the Week is......"The Wind That Shakes the Barley" with a great score of ****.

That's it for this week. I'll be back next week with a SPECIAL 9/11 TRIBUTE, as I review 2006's "United 93" and "World Trade Center". Here's another future release.
