Hmmm... I've never been a big user of giving out negative karma, but I do use it occasionally. I gave out a full blast of negative karma the other day. I've since given out much more positive karma. Yet, this time I tried to neg DemonsBane, a user who truly deserves neg karma, and my neg was reduced to 1%.

I get the feeling that those that are constantly spamming newbies with plus karma to get back their negative karma privileges are wasting there time. I'm not sure how the scale works, but I get the feeling it's determined by other users giving out negative karma in relation to yours. I'm not sure what the determining factor is; but I'd reckon my positive/negative karma ratio is about 80/20.
