And I don't see anyone giving some valid points against pony puzzles. Those 'I hate ponies!' doesn't count. If you NEED to focus on the screen to distinguish among different ponies, that should count as a success against bots.

It's not "I hate ponies" it's I don't give a shit about your hobby, don't really want to invest more time into a hobby/crappy show that I already have no interest in. I'd think that you'd understand why the maze is better from a general perspective, because without outside information you can solve it, whereas your pony quiz requires you know what ponies are, who they are for people who don't particularly care about ponies, it's a hassle. Basically it comes down to bronies thinking every body should love their hobby and forcing it on other people where there is a real consequence and disadvantage for not being involved in said hobby. Why don't we have a riddle that is just filling in the correct words to psalm verses, because apparently the riddle is about keeping botters out, and that would definitely do it. Or better yet, why not have it be the proper translation of the illiad in certain verses, that's obscure hard to code for a bot.

I haven't seen a single episode, and I recognized those ponies by their characteristics only. I don't feel it's a crappy show, I am just uninterested to watch it.

You don't have to shed any tears for me because I live in a cesspit of internet memes, and in the end won't really affect me, as long as you do recognize that it is punishing people unfairly, tears lost or not is enough. The fact that 99.9% of the bronies on the forums apparently think their hobby is common pop culture and not a niche is what's unnerving, sure your system will stop bots for now, but it does have a real and punishing affect on some, maybe most members who play the game. Just pointing it out that there is indeed a disadvantage. I mean in due time botters will crack it because they will just associate said image with the correct answer and use it like a captcha autofiller.

Disregarding blind people, who wouldn't be able to solve the maze either, and people who are simply too stupid to open a chart and visually compare them, who I don't give a fuck about, I wouldn't say that anyone is being punished unfairly. And while mazes will in most cases take several seconds to solve, the cognitive image recognition facilities of the human brain should allow you to identify these in less than one, with some training.

Because, well, this is the main point. EH is a porn site, not a gaming community where everyone is on a race for level 400 so that they can obtain some kind of unique achievement and say "Look at me, I'm the one and only HV God !"

A few members learnt that the hard way and they are no longer with us. And nothing of value was lost, I guess.
