Probably should add mana conservation to Battlecaster gear, and all staves, with a higher effect on Focus staffs. Also a binding for it would be good.

Wow, awesome. Just awesome. I'll have to find a new focus staff to see if its worth having more than my destruction but I don't mind that. Item worlds seem like they are worth doing now too.

Not a single thing I dislike about this patch. Kind of makes me scared of the next patch though.

Pretty sweet patch from what I can tell, or could tell from what little gaming I got in today. The only downside seems to be that I'll have to do more item worlds with all this exp gain from the dawn event, but I can live with that. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
Will try playtesting on some higher difficulties tomorrow.

Kinda iffy about this, I can't pick a side

- The first roll determines type (one-handed, two-handed, staff, shield, etc..), while the second roll determines the newly introduced "tier" of equipment. While the odds for equipment type are still fixed (unless you use a trophy to set it), equipment tier is now affected by the difficulty setting. For example, on IWBTH the odds for getting tier 2 and tier 3 equipment is 5x higher than on normal.
Does equipment tier affect the probability of the "better" equipments ie Kata/Shade/Kevlar/friends?

- Cotton and Gossamer armor drops no longer have burden.
Nice, I was worried about those 2 (mainly the gossamer since starting mages have nothing else to rely on)

- Focus equipment now also comes with a Mana Conservation bonus which reduces the Mana Cost stat.
Not sure if this will be significant since focus is such an unpopular suffix

- Soul Magic is now placed under a new pseudo-proficiency "Spiritual", which cannot be boosted by itself, but is the average of your Forbidden and Divine proficiencies.
Does this mean it will gain you 0 proficiencies like niten?

- Hitting Space Bar in Snowflake's Shrine will now repeat the last action (offering, and for trophies, equipment choice).
Love it, Auto-Shrine was great but I like how the concept was accepted and incorporated into HV
