Seems to be some systematic issue, but equipments generated can't have retrospective changes.
(Unless it's a change in scaling factors)

Cotton and Gossamer armor drops no longer have burden.

Focus equipment now also comes with a Mana Conservation bonus which reduces the Mana Cost stat.

It is time for me to have another set of equipment
There is about 20% mana conservation for new staff (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Just finished crusade on normal, figured I'd do an arena before I said anything.

While the changes to EXP are great, the changes to item quality have once again nullified any and all training to loot quality bonus's. During (Crusade) where Godly & Superior potions used to drop, now average & greater drop. The Normal setting (Balanced Fun) should be, at least the break even point during arenas for potions used vs. potions dropped. Continually having to use higher quality potions to complete an arena than those dropped during that arena, is not "in my opinion" balanced fun.

Also, I don't understand the point of giving a reduced mana cost to just Focus staffs & not the rest.

Tenboro, I have enjoyed playing the HV over the past couple of years & have enjoyed watching it evolve by way of your superior skills. Creating the monster lab and forge are awesome work & I understand the monsters needed to be stronger in order to make them work. But you could at least cut players a break by reducing mana costs, instead of jacking them thru the roof.

Over the past year, it seems like every time you've done an update, the game has lost some element of fun. Can't do all the arenas daily because of stamina. Do training for drops & quality, wasted on the next update. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)

Please, PLEASE!!!!!! bring back the balanced fun (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

2 points I've seen playing:

1. For low level players, the remove of HP buff is pretty good. It also increased the importance of Spirit instance mostly for start of arenas, where with 3~4 mobs, it's wortless to use Shatter strike or other specials IMO.
With good stats, Spirit instance and weapons, mostly of the mobs can be 1-hited to kill, and it's nice.

2. Difficult: the mobs are much faster to kill with less HP. It will consume less time for low level playes, with is aways good.

does this means it will be a new "Ethereal arms race" coming

and what's the influence of the market ?

i am not saying this change is bad

but it's too drastic

could we have some "buffer mechanism"

like the new EDB and new shade change

like a purge , every old equipment becoming so useless

people have to abandon them no matter your costs huge credits or energy in it

sounds a little sad for me

i wish it will be some buffer mechanism for all "OLD thing" that people still love it

Question: How long do we have to wait before we get another random encounter? I didn't get any since the patch..... nor did I get the second Dawn of the day event.

Is it has to do with the fact that I switched to classic encounter before the patch?

okay i just did Twisted Plots for first time, on normal. Yeah . . . that was weird. Giants and Dragonkin and mechs all died mostly to 2 hits (lightly resistant to slashing/scythe). Considering how it use to be, way too easy (not complaining, just observing); in addition to the lame drops, this will give me a reason to do it on harder difficulties. Didn't bother with spirit stance or shatterstrike; had over 50% mana at the end w/ no mana drops.

Now to throw away all my old cloth/gossamer.

I keep encountering the 503 service error since the update was applied. As per SOP, waited a minute or 2, & refreshed the page again. But the number of occurrences might indicate some other underlying problem.

Are you other players encountering the same problem I'm facing?

Random encounter occurs hourly, but it's easy to miss them when you're skimming through the galleries.
