Combing through the galleries will take some time though as most of the vigilante is already busy enough with the regular day to day work. So if more people help, there is a better chance of saving non-h.

Personally I welcome these changes. If you're looking for JAVs, there's much better suited sites for that and if you're looking for non-h mangas, there's also better sites for that. This should be a hentai/otaku-hentai related community and it will be more in that direction now.

My suggestion would however to be to make a new "3D" category. I'm sure that the 3D-lovers (3D seem to be a big part of the hentai nowadays) don't want to browse through hordes of ecchi artbooks, real figurines, random otaku-galleries and all that stuff (not saying they're bad, I like em') to get their galleries.

Speaking as a total newcomer; it seems there are a lot of votes to replace the Non-H and Asian Porn categories with two others: 3-D and Artbook

There probably would not be a problem if ordinary users were given a way to Report galleries containing published works like DearS, licensed for release outside of Japan by Tokyo Pop, just for example:

How can the average user hope to help the greater community and protect our Home from copyright infringing material when we aren't given the tools? And don't say "Use the "Report" function" since you are required to be the copyright holder in order to use that.

If users were given greater ability to flag illicitly uploaded works, I would not doubt that all the Illegal crap could be cleaned out post-haste. But instead you are just getting rid of the entire category of Non-H out of fear of legal repercussions. What I'm saying is, let the users police the site. If that doesn't work out, then go ahead with your plan to remove non-h. It just seems like a rash action, to wipe out Everything (Read: Currently 19,734 Volumes) just because a part of the whole is bad. I know that everything's chaotic with the International Community (Read: U.S. and U.N.) trying to get their SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, and whatelse to destroy the Internet, but getting rid of everything is just what they want you to do. Please reconsider your destruction of Non-h. Please.

So a question regarding the removal of non-h galleries. I scanlate some non-h doujinshi that we buy from comiket.

I myself would consider it relevant since they are sfw doujinshi's that obviously will not be licensed. But I wanted to make sure these would still be allowed. And if so should I change their category to misc to avoid the purge?

I reclassed mine by selecting them in maintain galleries and Setting public category for selected galleries to misc. Took a while for the change to actually happen, only works if they haven't been reclassed with a non-h tag though.

if it's not published by a big society it should be fine , (i suppose) because the exemple you show are parody and the artists of comiket have never been pursued by lawyers.

There are some Japanese commercial mangas with translation by private groups i.e. unofficial translations.

Should we also remove them?

Also in question: how about those ecchi commercial mangas (for example, to-love ru and kiss-sis)? Remove/keep?
