Technically, 'doujins' don't require sex scenes which is a source of confusion to noobs. It's like saying "fan comic" but yeah, the whole point of a site called e-hentai is to have erotic stuff? I guess that makes sense! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'm surprised that we even still have all these categories, anyways. Tags seem to make a lot more sense if used to split a category up based on more specific criteria. Say: image sets, comics, ... and then have tags for if it is explicit or not and the level/type of porn. Unfortunately, there's 100's of thousands of galleries so this would absolutely suck to have to reorganize! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Other issue mentioned here about Asian Porn category and how they're huuuuuge archives for the actual amount of unique visual information. I've noticed that pretty much all of the bigger ones are just exported frames from a video and not a photoshoot. Those are kind of stupid when you can get the actual video from a site dedicated to that or P2P.

Shit, I got about 70 or so galleries in my dedicated "Non-H" favorites category. That whole thing is going to be empty now. Well, mostly.

So what about the artists collections? There are a lot of great artist collections in the non-h category right now. Should those be moved to misc or left to be purged?

I'd appreciate a quick response from someone to know what to prioritize.

And by ban, that probably means the actual person will be taking away by those cloaked guys from Ghost.

I'm sorry, this just doesn't seem quite like the right course of action.

Asian Porn I can understand, but a lot of really good Ecchi is placed in the Non-H category, like Ryuuta Amazume (still waiting on the complete translation of Toshiue no Hito).
I'd say the bigger problem is all the Image Sets filled with duplicates, or pictures that're in a thousand other galleries! Most of them can easily be searched for through Sankaku, which lets people filter them out based on tags like by artist, series, or content. You upload images individually, duplicates are either replaced or deleted.

The only reason people keep making these Image Sets is for quick GP.

Well I won't be linking to my galleries due to spamming/appearance as credit-whore but the Heroism one is another?

The sites that list a single gallery based on tags instead a list of galleries have tags but they're horrible at trying to download image sets and even worse books from. Then again, they're meant for 'rule 34' which implies stuff that doesn't have 4000 images made for it already.

Because Non-H appears to contain a not insignificant fraction of commercially active releases, despite people being explicitly told not to post that, and this is causing problems.

If people are willing to put in the hours, we might be able to keep it. But I don't want to see any commercial manga releases in there, so here's what you'd have to do. Make a new thread in the vigilante for it, and use it to list of the galleries in question - one per line, the full URL first - that way I can easily mass-nuke them.

So i read the thread and as long as we make a list of all the commercial shit and get rid of it we're fine right? I don't mind working on this and looking through all 2000+ non-h galleries to keep the good doujins and artbooks. But what constitutes as commercial? Also is anyone working on this currently? I wouldn't mind working with other people to get this done. Instead of just whining about it we could try to work together.

He can do whatever he wants. It's his site. If he decides tomorrow hat he's sick of it, he can take down the site on a whim and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
