Ok folks, here it is.
When I first logged into Hentaiverse and knew little to nothing about the controls and abilities it took me may FAILURES before I finally knew what it was that I was doing.

In the beginning you will have diddly for equipment, don't let this bother you.

When using Bazaar/Training, go ahead and skip the Karma and other functions without a DIRECT APPLICATION to your charcter, EXP might be nice but is more useful later on, go for ability and loot boosts.

If you need cash, the DAILY renewed ARENA is the way to go, the completion bonuses are a moneymaker though they drop after the first completion.

Monster Lab - The CHAOS TOKENS are a uncomon to fairly rare drop at first so dont be suprised if it's a while before you see one.
Raising your monster after you create it uses A LOT OF CRYSTAL so be patient before you see enough of them accumulate before you can finally get your monster actively boosted above lvl ZERO.

Every 10 levels or so you get a new ability bar with additional stuff, work on this a lot with the training to get it to pay off.
On the SECOND ability bar you get CURE, pop a point in this one and then you have to figure out how to use it to target yourself, (I messed up for the longest time before I figured out that you have to find it under the MAGIC tab, then under TACTICAL, then click once to choose and click a second time to target yourself with it), had the darndest time trying to figure out exactly how to use the blasted thing.

On CHARCTER menu, BATTLE ITEMS allows you to equip poitions and stuff for fights, click on the potion in inventory and then when it turns blue click on the slot to place it in, keep them filled just in case of emergencies and you can always switch them out.

IMPORTANT NOTE.....The LEVEL given on equipment is for at which point the eqipment becomes fully active on the listed stats.....it is NOT the level you need to be to equip it.

Jealing tokens only work out of combat and are just another type of token that drops every so often.

Many will notice the occasional message that a POWER GEM is dropped during combat, these are ONLY USEABLE DURING COMBAT and will carry over from round to round but are lost when you exit combat, there is an extra space in your combat item list that appears, I have seen SPIRIT, MANA and HEALTH gems drop, I still don't know if the new gem displaces the old one or if you keep the old gem until you use it and free up the POWER GEM SPACE.
Feel free to use up the POWER GEMS with no worries.

In the early days, play around with the SETTINGS under your charcter menu to boost up the arena challenges, it helps the drop rates for equipment and items really well, took me a while to figure that part out.
Arena fights are progressive until you have cleared the level of the fight at least once, then you cand fail a fight and still go on if you have already unlocked that level of the arena.

Interference on your equipment is about how it affects MAGIC CRITICALS and SPELL COSTS, nothing I have seen shows an affect on the actual DAMAGE dished out by your cast spells so put your mind at ease.

Where possible try to avoid mixing equipment types after you get some decent skill points, cloth, leathe and heavy armors work better if matched up on your charcter when you start getting skilled enough with those armor types.

Don't worry about the Shrine or Forge right now, the drops for the Shrine are from the more powerful monsters and you will likely know more about that by searching the forums, the Forge is also a bit deceptive in what is needed for upgrades, check out the forum entries for more info and otherwise just stick to trying to fight your way through the ITEM WORLDS to raise up the level of a piece of UNEQUIPPED gear.

These were the few points that threw me the most when I first started my charcter and I hope this clears up some questions for some innocent (though not for long) newbie player.

Some of this is faulty, besides we already have a wiki:

Though this post's messy and have some mistakes, I do like the idea of putting some common introduction into the same page though...

Maybe we can put something like that into EH-wiki so new player can get some quick reference on everything they need to start the game.

That's a vague idea though

Don't we have Hentaiverse Advice page in the Wiki already?

Yea, but grockts's passage raises an interesting idea:
sometimes new players have trouble learning the basic functions/operations of HV.

And HV-wiki is very informative now, unfortunately there seems to have no centralized page for this kind of information.
IMO we can't expect everyone to read through that 70 something pages for information...

Ok, some folks would call my post a mite messy.
I addressed issues AS I RAN INTO THEM while I was playing the game.
I fully realise that the ewiki addresses the issues in greater detail vut SOMETIMES the basics get overlooked or lost in the detailed illumination.

Sometimes it is just the simple things we need to find out about when starting until we gain a greater understanding of the game as a whole.

I'll admit, I was well past your level before figuring out most of this stuff. Yeah, there may be an advice page (which I hadn't discovered until picking HV back up recently), but I only found it by accident. I know the message boards and main sight point new players in the general direction of the wiki but as far as I'm aware, there is nothing pointing out that specific page at all (which I consider a gold mine of information to anyone who doesn't already know about it).

Another factoid would be the absolute ABUNDANCE of single line non-contributing posts just to elevate someone's post count.

Should someone go thru and erase the non-relevant posts, junk, and fluff, I can well imagine that the total volume of the website would easily shrink by over 40% LOL.

I've been experimenting around with the HentaiVerse stuff after ignoring it for years, lol. It's a fun distraction, but very harsh.

Honestly the advice that the wiki gives you is good general information, but there's still so much you have to figure out yourself.

Things like "What difficulty should I actually be using, they all pretty much start to beat me down after 2 or 3 rounds and force me into using all my battle items, only difference is that some prolong it a round or two more"

Or stuff like "What the, I'm following the stat and equipment advice, but some monsters can 1 hit kill me with spells/abilities doing 700 more damage then my hp...?"

Equipment also has a lot of puzzling questions with what exactly you're supposed to be looking for in your gear besides the "rarer" types like kevlar/shade

It is pretty harsh for us noobs that are just taking everything as we go, lol. I figured out the power gem stuff being for combat and not something I should avoid using thinking I was stockpiling replenishment items not that long ago to use an example.

Feels like you pick up a "Oh, that's what I do.." "Oh, that's what I should have gotten.." every time you come back to the verse page, heh. Partly why I'm reading through the forums trying not to feel like such an idiot every time, lol.

Isn't that the point of playing games?

There're guides, but there're also small tips which you need to pick up yourself when you're playing the game.

Hmm, maybe, but with the Hentai Verse it's a bit like playing Tetris without ever realizing that you could rotate the pieces, heh. If you didn't know something that's "basic knowledge" you're struggling beyond belief.

Yeah, it's best to click around and get yourself familar with everything ahead of time.
I was grinding like a snail till I realized I can up the difficulty/exp gain in setting. After that, the levels just went soaring.

As a newbie, it's also difficult for me to shell out credits to buy equipments >.>
(tip: remember to change the difficulty back down when you're grinding for credits...)
