I just found a number of galleries that may be rewrites but are tagged as translations. Details are here, if somebody could confirm or deny it would be appreciated.

if so, a number of galleries need a rename (and a tag). Some are tagged as rewrites, some as translations, some as both. Ditto for names, with a good number poorly named to boot.

I can take care of renaming / tagging, but I cannot determine this myself. For about half of his galleries, starting with the oldest ones, I posted links to RAWs in the comments for your convinience

oh, and we probably don't nee to check all 30 or so galleries - just a few, the ones that have just [English] in name, to verify that they are rewrites not translations - then we can rename and retag all of that craprwrite to hell

Which galleries are you talking about? Did you look at them all?

I think they are all rewrites

Some have both translated and rewrite tags

He also has them flipped (left right) for no reason.

The spanish one is a VERY literal Translation of the english one. So if the English one is a rewrite, the spanish one is too

The English is definitely a rewrite.

Could somebody check some the following few aznguy39's works to confirm they are rewrites. Then I'll try to convince Alpha to batch rename them all of his english galleries to have [Rewrite] in them.

A priori, this shouldn't be a rewrite.

Hentaishogun is a french translator who works directly from Japanese to French

It's not a rewrite in the sense that there was someone with some knowledge of Japanese who translated this, but I can't really call this a translation either, as there are quite a few lines that are either not precisely translated or just plain wrong.
I can't easily write in Japanese right now so I can't give any example, but I can promise that you shouldn't use this translation to retranslate into English.

I don't want to make you depressed or anything, but if you just compare the first pages you'll see that he literally added a text box, so yeah.

Looks to be a rewrite. It starts off semi-accurate, but after a couple of pages it goes off the rails.

Thanks. If anyone cares, would be nice to review his other works and see which need to be tagged as rewrites too.

If you think a gallery is a rewrite, posting a comment with an example helps immensely, if someone just tags a gallery as rewrite with no comment how are the rest of us supposed to know if it is a valid criticism or random trolling? Just saying
