Yeah, people with numbers in their username are just the worst, right?

Thanks for the heads-up. It's been quite a while since i browsed a forum like this, really. Nonetheless, i haven't forgotten how most of it works.
Your 3-finger question to oneself is new and inspiring though, i like it.

It helped before, maybe the smart ones will read it again. Edit: The first post at least. This post has been edited by Azraelgt: Jan 25 2014, 04:47

Times change. New threads aren't the biggest problem around here anymore. I guess it never really was. There is a better solution: remove all posting incentives. It's not a cure-all, but it would make a difference.
I'd also be in support of more protected forums, but I can't think of any entrance criteria that would work, short of making moderators manually add people to an invisible "people who aren't terrible" user group.

Most people here aren't terrible. There are a few trolls but life is good if you can ignore them.

I don't think that's a solution, just a bit of common sense from the posters would improve the forum. Comparing the site with real cesspools (memedroid to give an example) this place is a healthy community, it would be better. If we could just hold back and think for a second before writing an idiocy. For example I consider many of you (when discussing topics seriously) as some of the most intelligent persons i've met in both real and cyber life. Of course when it's about trolling and making jokes, most users go for dark humor and (forgive me but i can't find a better word) insults (me included). of course because of that some of them are directed to me i take them in good humor, never considering them as a personal attack. I believe that's the root of the problem, if all of us could take what's addressed to us as a good natured joke, trolls would not have fuel from where to thrive, many discussions would not degenerate in bad blood between users, and critiques, advices, comments and opinions would be read and understood without problem. That being said, not every post has to be answered, they made fun of you chuckle inside and continue the topic being discussed without answering the joke, and if you're going to write just three words in 6 or 7 threads just for the post count, then go to the test thread area and open your thread to post away without annoying everyone else. Edit: forgot about this, if someone takes his/her time to tell you your grammar is off. Learn more grammar and thank them for caring for your improvement. (That means you Wolfgirl, you're an intelligent woman, but damn your writting needs help. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)) This post has been edited by Azraelgt: Jan 25 2014, 07:40

I think wolf is okay and that's about it. This is one of healthy forum, anyway (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) This post has been edited by Frostbite: Jan 25 2014, 07:22

It seems I am an eternal pessimist about things like this. I've been avoiding much of the community here lately just because history has taught me that little good can come from it. Still, if there is fun to be had, I guess I won't give up altogether.

I hate everyone by default.
The key is hating certain people to a lesser degree.

Apathy is the true opposite of love. Hate is more closely related to love than people sometimes realise.

I like you, looking at your posts so far. I didn't intend to like anyone since I'm mostly here to grind posts. You are really something.

Hate is more closely related to mental disease than people realize, too. I'm not sure what that says about love.
