QUOTE(dapanza @ Aug 21 2012, 23:36) That dude got banned? I've read that guy was worst than Robbie...
Depends on who you ask. HV Fags aren't too familiar with me due to the fact I tend to stay those forums. QUOTE(Marvin666 @ Aug 22 2012, 01:33) Imagine Rob, but much blander and a touch more abrasive.
Also, dumb, lacking charm, personality and wit I have, having serious unwarranted self importance, and being terrible at being an asshole. Also, being totally nothing like me. QUOTE(Tenseigamoon @ Aug 22 2012, 17:26) He wasn't anywhere near as bad as Robbie Pie.
True, but he was dumb enough to piss off the one person here I know not to go out of my way to insult.

There's a stickied topic at the top of Adult Chat whose title reads as follows: Pinned: Important announcement. Seriously, read this. Especially if you're new.Read before creating new topics. ALWAYS. No Exceptions. That topic explicitly states, in no uncertain terms, that requests to not belong in Adult Chat. They belong in Requests. And yet there are still request topics in there every damn day. Because needy, lazy idiots can't be bothered with social graces or reading. They don't want to look for an answer to their question, or have to read anything else at all. All they want is somebody to cater to their selfish, vaguely-worded desires immediately, and they won't be bothered to read stickies or even help the person helping them to figure out what it is they want, because that would require some kind of effort. Hay i can't speak enrish good but i wan a thing so pleas read my mind and give it to me rite now cuz i want it. The Internet isn't a fucking genie spewing out of a lamp to grant your wishes, people. If you want information, you have to actually look for it a little, and if you want other people to do or find something for you, you should show them the slightest bit of respect by noting the rules of the community you're asking favors of. Put some god damn effort in if it matters so much to you. This post has been edited by FourThirteen: Aug 30 2012, 23:03

Though I totally agree with you, lectures won't get us anywhere 'cause an ignorant is ignorant. Look media piracy for example, users prefer to download their latest musics, games, videos, hacked softwares (e.t.c) even if everyone knows that causes damage to the marketing's profit. They don't give a fuck. SOPA butts in, exterminate megaupload & the only ones who took this matter seriously are the other upload companies who got some precautions. The users still don't give a fuck, as long they have their free content. QUOTE(FourThirteen @ Aug 31 2012, 00:01) This thread should be linked with the "new thread" button, then click next to continue topic creation. Hard to ignore it this way, except if someone is unbelievably idiot.

That's because nobody pays attention to Serial.

In a way we could stop this noobs, by not answering their questions. Just post a reply with the following message:
"Report sent, thread has broken forum rules."
Simple explanation to any other user that a report is no longer necessary.
The report for the mods should be simple and polite to avoid wasting their time.
"Please, delete this thread. Reason: Violation to forum rules."
I Don't know if it exists but a registry of threads created by an user and how many of then have been deleted for rule breaking could be a tool to have their thread creation privileges removed.

Is the warning system used that way at all? It seems like it's built for that kind of thing. I guess it's no help, though, because one newbie getting banned for ignoring the rules won't affect all the others who come along. There's probably some kind of hyper-fascist option the staff could take, where a user has to read the rules and submit to some kind of screening process before they get posting or PMing privileges, but that is likely more trouble than it's worth, and would only serve to scare away lazy users from the site. Although that might further my goals, Tenboro wouldn't take kindly to the drop in traffic and/or advertising revenue.

We'd also need staff to actually enforce said fascism.

Taking that in consideration, my solution is viable. We rest from useless threads and noobs have to pest on already made threads. Even those who post only one word are easily ignored.

I doubt everyone will be on board with that, but I'll support it as best I can.

Even those who post only one word are easily ignored. I only used Power Word Ignore once for a trivial matter. Somepony PM'd me with a question, I replied to it, user thanked me then replied with the same question in the same message. PWI ensued. True story. Come to think of it, if I just stop coming here and reading threads, that would solve the problem too. For me, anyway.

Apparently I just have to stay away from certain threads. It's hard to tell anymore where the good ones are though, and some of my favorite people don't even post anymore.

It sucks being dependent on other people, huh?

I get about 4 reports a day, maybe 1 of which will be something that needs to use a warning. Rarely does anyone get warned for fucking up with requests, but seeing how ridiculously common it is, I'm going to start handing them out more frequently. Good idea.

If it helps, that'd be good. There isn't any way to make invite-only threads, is there? Edit: QUOTE(BrainSucks @ Sep 2 2012, 14:23) It sucks being dependent on other people, huh?
Yeah... it sucks not being able to have an interesting conversation by myself. I should work on that schizophrenia thing to fix that. This post has been edited by FourThirteen: Sep 2 2012, 20:48

It's a good idea. I'd never get invited to any of them.
It's still a good idea.
