QUOTE(Bunko @ Feb 4 2012, 19:54) Did I mention I fucking hate this patch yet ? I'm no longer wasting my life on this "here today, screwed tomorrow" - game If the nerfs you make are because of the tips I post to people, then... DIE ! I hope the game gets back on track with the next patch. Back on track means, go back to previous version. Let me put this patch in to real world situation. This is tenboro's baby so I will use that to describe the situation. You're a baby (no pedo stuff here) Previous patches. Instead of being able to choose what you wanna be when you grow up.. You now have 2 choices. This patch If you chose the wrong option, you are now selling beans in mexico. I used to respect tenboro, well no more. For someone to make a game and the pull a flip like this.. It's beyond stupid. I say roll back to previous version. Did you roll a dice to nerf the game this time ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7suJ5jq7FQ...mp;feature=plcpIn any case, I friggin hate you now. What's the point of the hath perks anymore ? Nothing. Step down and give the admin account to a retard. I get the feeling that you are displeased with the new patch.

Does Dæmon Duality apply to Weapon Skills yet (or does it already)? I'm down to the Paging Enlargement, Karma, and Dæmon Duality perk categories left to get and the first two are rather underwhelming. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Dec 24 2011, 12:07) QUOTE(Ichy @ Dec 24 2011, 13:05) So what does Deamon Duality do now? Stuff. Which isn't done yet. Nothing in the patch notes addressing this, so I guess the situation is still the same.

Not even a slightest chance. As the one who keeps on fighting with Tenb's attitude regarding melees, I shalth receive Dat Mace. BTW I wanted to post an I_know_that_feel_bro.jpg for Bunko, but oh well. I was unable to find it.

LOL, maybe? You think? Maybe it's just a misunderstanding! j/k There's always temporary setbacks/gains in this game. The randomness of them is confusing, though. You have no idea if your neat variation will suddenly become obsolete or that awesome 12-turn club that hits every other turn will become 1 turns and take 3-4 hits to trigger. I predict that battlemage gear will be nerfed next since some people are trying to get 300 magic damage bonus from 1-handed weapons. Better sell them while you can! (Of course this is mostly tongue-in-cheek but not too far from reality) Well to be serious, warriors seem to have really gotten nailed with the change in spirit modestance. Healing was boosted by it but now you just get a 25% reduction in MP use which is kind of pointless since you get an average of less than 10% because you constantly have to charge spirit and OC back up. Mages like me only lost something that we only just got to try out before really getting used to it. It was fun while it lasted - It's worse for the warriors who depended on it to replace the older OC boosts! I've given up entirely on even thinking about melee until a patch that makes melee less painful, again. ;( The 200% boost to number of rounds has made the game a lot more... boring. It feels like fighting with all my damage-boosting gear removed prior to this version. Overall, mages didn't really gain or lose much on the spirit stance. We can just spend the points in ER instead of OC. Although, we're not going to get the insane amounts of ER that light-armor-wearing people get, heh. Speaking of ER, Tenb, now that the elemental passives don't affect mage's offensive abilities, how about removing the prerequisites so that we melee fighters can enjoy some resistance without wasting points on spells we don't use?

I don't think they lost their 50%+ dmg from the spirit stance. It was strictly a boost to melee spirit stance wise (although I think it's a miniscule boost at best) @dyhalto you should probably put that in the request thread =)

I'm with you. In fact, I'm with Bunko for the most part too. Ten needs to stop dreaming that the Ponyverse here masks the fact that this is the MeleeNerfVerse. It doesn't fool anybody, and doesn't fix bad game mechanics. It's just like teaching a duck how to sing. It doesn't work, and it just annoys the duck. It's all a matter of the endgame: Does he want HV to be remembered as something that was a cool idea for a bit but tanked because it got screwed up royally? Or something that was IS so fun that it hooked players that weren't really all that interested because it was so cool? Right now, it's pretty obvious where it's going. And BTW, that Mace will carry too much burden. Not physical, but emotional - I wouldn't want it. You guys can melee over it. Oh wait, YOU CAN'T BECAUSE IT TAKES TOO LONG TO MELEE ANYTHING. If you guys would actually try out SS you would see that this patch made it a lot better. My mana savings with it on is almost 50% (lest turns per round = less buff recast per round).

Using skills is much more fun so I wont use spirit mode much.

Mana savings would be higher if mana regen occurred when using skills...

actually, the best buff for melee in this patch is probably this
- Skills now only drain the minimum required Overcharge when used. Bonus damage for having higher than 100% Overcharge is however still applied.
i shoulda kept the PM from my contact. but 3 godly manas on BT trio as melee? pretty darn good

Wait, that's considered good? I tested IWBTH trio after this patch and my best run was using 1 godly and nothing else. True story.

Of course it's considered good. 99% of melees are saying that can't break past (insert difficulty below BT) Trio. edit: "can't even do*" instead of "can't break past" This post has been edited by dcherry: Feb 5 2012, 21:55

The melee nerf happened right before I hit 220. Now I am 235, and I still cannot do end of days on normal (that 50k credit reward taunts me) By the way, whats all this about hath perks having no value now? Considering I have only innate arcana 1, and attaining anything else is nowhere in sight... I would happily take any donations to test this out.

I agree the skills have potential and a certain functionality... but they are not "fun", for the simple fact that they are cumbersome to use (games with obtuse methods of control are not fun) If they ever get on the quickbar I might consider them fun.

Was wondering where the hell the 94,000 credits came from and popped up in my account this morning (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) No more power regen training. Atleast the gods were kind enough to give a refund for my time.

It would be nice to have some sort of Alchemy ability, to combine 10 lesser potions to make a higher grade one.
Or something like that.

Dammit I want to try out that friendship cannon (14 figs to go). That's the only reason why I'm still playing.

Well i agree with Bunko, I used to play a bit of HV every day, which has now dropped to basically nothing, in my opinion this game has lost its fun. It used to be a fun and relaxing way to pass some time, now it is much more difficult. I am not saying its too hard for me, but I had always thought of this game as a low effort grinding/ time wasting one, not a hardcore tactical/strategical game.
