I may have forgotten something but that isn't one of them. And there is no commoner/elite between levels. Proper resource management does play a role though.

And attention to detail of course.

So, is there any way to bind the Skill to a certain key? The script mentioned here does not work for me for some reason, it simply triggers a normal attack.

To be fair, the old phase equipment still exist and they're still awesome. I've also looked at the new Shade with the old ones and my old Kevlar. Their stats seem to be weaker (evade and other attributes) but people using light armor are forced to switch to these new shade just to reduce burden which would yield a greater net avoidance than the old equips.

No. Max EDB old phase = Min EDB new phase.

Only burden & interference was changed, ie: removed / slightly increased. It's just your luck (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm guessing there may be a change to the Forge next patch for ethereal weapon upgrades.

Majority of active melee users of high level at least. I do have a few etheral weapons, and some are even useable, but not a single mace, they are all either 1h or longswords.
And buying even a halfway decent ethereal mace usually ends up somewhere just short of a million credits on the WTS forums.
And of course mages won't use an ethereal staff, they have no use for the main advantage that ethereal weapons had, namely the melee void damage that bypassed specific damage mitigation.
But the change still affected melees more. Yes, a melee with good gear, meaning a full set of new shade and a ethereal weapon, will now have higher evade, but without an ethereal weapon the mage will be better at evasion.
And without a new set of shade gear, the same thing.

As for my comment about kevlar vs shade, what was wrong with it?
Or are you of the opinion that kevlar is worthless and should remain that way, and kevlar and leather drops is just a way of making actual useable equipment drop rarer and might as well be removed and replaced with icnreased credit drops instead?
So make kevlar even more worthless, by penalizing evade, and make ethereal weapons even more powerful.
So that anyone that plays melee should be in full shade gear and an ethereal mace and everything else is just because you can't afford shade and ethereal mace.
Same thing with mages, full set of phase gear with EDB bonus, only difference here is that the EDB bonuses might actually differ based on the damage type the mage prefers.

It'll likely come next patch.
Tenb probably had some problems in how to create good 2H skills so that 2H doesn't once again become the dominant melee weapon.
2H skills that hit all the mobs, like shatter strike, will quickly make 2H superior.
Even decreasing the OC cost for shatter strike, like for the other 1st tier skills, would make it much better than the other fighting styles.

So look forward to new 2H skills in the next patch. Probably along with a 2H nerf, so that it isn't superior to the melee styles.

I've been wondering about this for a while, but are high PL monster's wins wasted? I mean a few of my monsters can occasionally rack up 9 wins, but it's hard to manage anything more than 1 gift a day (peak hours and other randomness).

Ah yeah, that makes more sense of course.
But hey, you can trade that on the forums as well, just heavily demanding on trust.
You trade your item, and the payment, to someone, who then does the item world at a certain agreed upon difficulty level, and then trades it back to you.
And that person of course, as extra payment, gets to keep all the drops and everything else.

Heavily reliant on trust, but possible.
Could even be made into a business, get a lowbie and deck him out in perfect gear and he could do item worlds with ease due to facing low-level monsters.

Just make it use OC when you active it instead of when you deactivate it. It's really annoying that on the last turn of SS it list the cheaper mana price but if you cast the spell it cost the higher price.

As for old phase being awesome... that's very subjective. If you're content with your old phase, then all the power to you. =)

The mage will have higher evade assuming the melee doesn't have new shade/current SD/ethereal weapon? But you forgot one part. You're assuming that mage has a full suit of phase. Good job with consistency. If you're looking at a mage with full phase and a good staff why aren't you looking at a melee with good shade equip/ethereal weapons? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) If we look at credits spent, it's roughly the same. You can spend 2 million for an ethereal mace if you're willing. But so can mages on a good enough staff.

I was just surprised you had the opinion that kevlar is worse than shade X months after the majority of melees felt that already (where X is time between when shade first came out and now). Just a little late.
