Different kind of update here... On the wiki pages for light armor, Leather category has no option for Protection suffix... for any of the armor slots. I know it's stated around other places that the PMI ranges for leather now use the old Kevlar ranges, but if someone doesn't read the forums but knows about the wiki, it could be misleading for them.

Interesting that you posted just seconds after i checked to see if anyone posted.

As for Leather Protection, chalk that one up to me being lazy. Same reason why I haven't fixed all the specific mitigation for leather yet.

Magnificent Cobalt Leather Boots of Dampening

My equipment comparison script shows different values from everyone else's stated values (no idea why), but magical mitigation here shows 4.41% for me, with wiki stating 4.22% for mag max. Also, Piercing is only 2.69, with wiki stating min is 3.82 (I've never seen leather boots that high for piercing other than the suffix bonus)

Random boots I found in Bazaar: Average Leather Boots of Warding have 2.04 piercing mitigation. Script or no script, 2.04 shown.

Figures... the boots I linked above are now 'no such item' so here's a similar example from my inventory: Fine Leather Boots of Dampening with Piercing at 1.91

Seems to have 3.81 slashing versus the 2.74 on the wiki.

no you're looking at base stats, scaled to level 0. slashing is 3.30 scaled to level 0. still beats wiki, but wiki is obviously wonky (missing prefixless piercing mitigation). use a base stat calculator or script to view them scaled to level 0.

Slashing mit has been buffed on all shade, while crushing mit has been nerfed, wiki has never been updated with this change. And yeah, PK's right, specific mits no longer scale.
