Correct. Also One can do so any time - even in battle, so using scan isn't needed at all, unless One is a player who base heavily on knowing resistances, and/or PL (using "assume resistances" have one difference though - scan doesn't show 25% as resistances).

I'm not sure where the "assume stats" button is located but boy, even by scanning it's awesome, great stuff!

Byledalej you think it'd be feasible to implement an option to personalize the font color for the monster type, to make it recognizable at glance?

I think someone mentioned an add-on/script which did basically the same thing, only coloring the monster's according to their type - but I can't find it...

Don't know how much it can be of help, but after activating the scanning/logging thing, I started experiences serious memory leak (methinks) issues with Firefox 9.0.1.

Basically memory usage skyrocketed in HV (everything fine when not playing), got to 150 mb to 1,6 gb usage in a 70 round arena.
First time I noticed it was off the charts with like 3,2 + gb of ram used lol.

Even disabling the scanning wasn't of help, I had to do a master reset and now thing seem to be back to normal...

As for this script You are talking about , I think in old HV STAT topic was link to it, but I could be wrong.
But that was designed poorly.

Just to be clear, I said the option to personalize the color, but a preset/fixed set of colors would be totally alright, and should also (I think) be easier to implement...

Anyway, thanks for the hard work with HV, it's awesome!

Yeah, wish there was a setting on the QB2 to add multiple bars. That would be cool, then you could have as many slots as you'd want.
Maybe even with the option to have a cycle button on it, so you can have one bar with buffs and another with attack spells and a third with debuffs. But it only shows one at a time, and you have a button to cycle the bar up or down, to get the next bar.
And of course that it remembers which bar you had out, until you manually cycle it.

That could completely replace the current standard bar, since you could easily have those bars for all your equipment sets, since switching from elemental spells to holy/dark spells is as easy as a click on the cycle button.
And no problem with lack of spots on the bar, choosing which ones to leave out. Just make a bar for the ones you use the most and then a few more that are specialized, like a buff and a debuff bar.


As for browser.
Try chrome. It works much better for hentaiverse, it's faster and it's become the standard for it, so most scripts are made for chrome.

The HV monster sensor is kinda nice, but you have to add all monsters manually, and the default script doesn't have enough slots, so you have to expand the number of slots, which is a bit of a hassle to manually.
And then you have to add every monsters ID manually as well.
And it doesn't always keep up, if you click attacks a bit too fast it will bug out and stop coloring them.

A nice idea, but a bit lacking. Especially adding all monsters manually is a real drag.

I really wish someone could make a scipt that would do a proper list of all player created monsters, including their PL.
There is a simple list of all monsters, their type and their creator, but that doesn't list their PL.
If nothing else, it would be nice to see the statistics on what monsters are most common.
Most of us already know how it looks of course, but a bit of hard evidence wouldn't hurt.

Well the thing is, I don't know how to actually add the monsters, I tried editing the script with notepad, but all I see is a blank page lol...

What's the deal with speed? I mean are we talking about old machines/ultra slow connections?

Because unless E-Hentai is under very heavy load, the thing is hella fast on Firefox...

You need Greasemonkey to make it work in Firefox. Chrome you can just install. Are you using the original version (I think that's blank)? The sample script is configured for holy/dark mage with data updated to (09/01/12), try that.

I stopped regularly using QB2 a long time ago due to the speed hit. I only temporarily enable it to lazy cast debuffs at the start of Trio/Dragons now. Strangely enough 1 QB's enough for all my needs nowadays.

I find the coloring is the best quality of life addition to the gameplay. Easier to instantly pick primary targets and gauge round spell resistance without killing your eyes. There is the issue with the colors disappearing after 10-ish(?) rounds, but that's not a problem for mages. Also ignores monster slot 10 (rare, so not much of a problem).

The spreadsheet updater makes it easier to update the script if you're having problems updating it yourself. Just copy+paste.

Speed is far more important for melees.
Since you can press and hold down a number for multiple attacks on that monster, and it will attack as soon as the page finishes loading, making it load a new page and attack as soon as that finishes, ad finitum, or until you lift your finger or the monster is dead.
Faster load times means faster repeated attacks, especially important in grinding.

For mages this is far less important, since they need to press a spell and then pick a target, they can then recast that spell on that target by holding down R, but due to the power and squishiness of mages, they very seldomly need to whip out 10 in a row without a break for heal or change of monster, like a melee.

1) Still doesn't track double digit crystal drops
2) There's not really any reason to have Equipment listed under Crysfest since it will never drop any

Only, it's kinda bugged (stuff appearing and disappearing etc), but that's pretty much granted with the updates to HV.

We just have to wait for Byledalej. :>
