First let me say thank you for HV STAT. T H A N K - Y O U (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) _______________________________________________________________________ With that being said, I need to ask you to search & review your code for hidden processes or security leaks. Just opening Firefox to Hentaiverse.org with 5.2.2 installed and clicking nothing, thus idle; HV STAT 5.2.2 takes 80~90% of my processor resources! As soon as I closed the hentaiverse.org TAB, Firefox CPU resource use went to 0%! Until an independent source verifies the HV STAT 5.2.2 code, I'm forced to report it as "Process Intensive"; probably buggy with a Risk of Security Leaks. I've created project for the code review at [ sourceforge.net] sourceforge.net/projects/hvstat/ hoping to get some 3 party evals of the code. Which BTW will make a great repository for it; unless it has something to hide. Is that with my fix and/or minor addon? If it is, i have no idea about how it will work in anything but Chrome.
As i'm no Javascript Guru, it is not unlikely that my fix/addon is not 100% optimal, though it should in no way use such amounts.

It's kind of dickish to open a SF's project without the original author's permission Then again, the original original author already washed his hands of the project

While extremely buggy, FF is a necessary evil for HV for one reason only. half of HV stats capabilities don't work in chrome, I tried. If HV stats worked fully in chrome I would immediately switch over to playing HV there. It's without your fix, I have the same issue and I have used nothing more than the plain HV stat from the first post here. Memory load increases by about 20mb for every action during battle for me, if it gets too high, ff will simply lag out and/or crash. With firefox 12 it's working fine, it just happened after upgrading to version 13.

QUOTE(mrttao @ Jun 21 2012, 02:43) QUOTE(derpymal @ Aug 5 2011, 00:25) As for updates, I lack motivation. I've started it and my personal copy has the stuff I use fixed, but I just don't feel like doing much coding right now. QUOTE(derpymal @ Aug 5 2011, 21:47) Probably when I feel like coding for HV again. Its just so boring right now that I don't feel like doing much; I'd rather play Terraria or derp around in Spiral Knights. People can send me stuff to guilt me into updating, though. Guilt is a great motivator for people with a conscience, even one as maladjusted as mine.

Then again, the original project is loosely based on several player's work. We should probably have a group working on HV STAT (and other HV related java projects) to keep that updated, though I doubt if anyone would join.

Well, afaik the entire HVSTAT is functionable on chrome.
Battle Tracking works Loot Tracking works Monster Database works Item Tagging works Column view works, at least with my fix. ( was just a simple if/else error ) Warning systems works Battle Enhancement works
Not sure what is not working?

So, is there going to be a fix coming for HV Stats 5.2.2 sucking up resources on Firefox 13?

Well, i don't know if there are anyone who are working on HVSTAT anymore, i just did a bit for personal use, which i released for others if they were interested.
I'm in no way able to neither diagnose nor fix whatever is causing it.
Only thing i can recommend is to drop Firefox and use Chrome, at least when playing HV

Really wish someone would fix the plugin from draining all the resources on Firefox, since, you know, this addon is pretty much MANDATORY for this game. Maybe I'll go Chrome after all? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I love the tracker program. My favorite part is the power up window.

Alright, I figured it out. Rather then re downloading I just went to the folder where I saved this script and added the user.js file to chrome. This normally works on chrome since it has a greasemonkey parser. Some scripts need fixing though since its not 100% compatible (mostly some unsecure stuff being blocked). This script happens to be one of those and there is a modified version just for chrome available to download as a chrome extension, this one does work. So, I guess I am moving to chrome now (since its ridiculously faster then firefox) @Evil Scorpio: You were right, I was wrong. EDIT: Wait, I DID use the chrome extension earlier, I just saw right away that the scan button doesn't appear in chrome and figured "hey, if that doesn't work who knows what else doesn't". QUOTE Really wish someone would fix the plugin from draining all the resources on Firefox I never saw this issue on [ addons.mozilla.org] https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/scriptish/Greasemonkey development practically halted as well as excluded many features community developers wanted, so it was forked into scriptish, which adds features and solved a lot of performance issues that are in greasemonkey. one problem I just found is I enabled the shrine tracker but it is still saying "No data found. Make an offering at Snowflake's Shrine to begin tracking." when I have made several offerings. I have also enabled the inventory tags but when I visit all equipment still says _new.

Well, the scan buttons mysteriously and suddenly started showing up in chrome (well, Iron actually). But powerup gems all show a blank (which turns into a broken image icon when I hover over it) instead of their proper one. But that's ok, if the P letter disappears I know I have one, and can hover over it to see what kind.

If you are using chrome, you should use the fix i posted, it should make the shrine tracking work properly, as well as a few other things. about the Inventory Tags, i know it works fine for me, but i honestly can't remember if it was something i changed or if it was due to something else that it started working >.> for the fixed version:
HVSTAT_5220fix.ZIP ( 158.81k )
Number of downloads: 98 or if you want the proficiency gain summary use this
HVSTAT_522_profsum.ZIP ( 159.41k )
Number of downloads: 92 I can't say how, if at all, it works on Firefox, as i only use chrome myself.

If you fixed some bugs, you really should increment the version, the original author left anyways so its not like its gonna cause a naming conflict.
So if you could, change it to say v5.2.3 I will take a look at it later when I find the time and see if I can solve any issues too.
Also, does the proficiency gain summary fix version include all the fixes from the "fix" version and then ALSO the prof fix, the other way around, or you only get one fix or the other but not both?
