QUOTE(lightshader @ Jan 7 2012, 10:20) [ANGYADOW (Shikei)] Ester Ijiri (Sora no Kiseki) - editing bounty[P-Forest] Mousou Desho Desho (Haruhi version) - editing bountyThey have the same link (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Please let me edit Ester Ijiri (Sora no Kiseki) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (Hope there will be some decent Ys doujin in future) QUOTE For some of the bounties with no scripts provided, PM me of your intent to edit and I'll send you the script and we can negotiate the fees as they may require more work to do.
If no one accepts then I offer to do it for free (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) But I'm still a newbie editor so may have bad result. This post has been edited by Thanatos Zero: Jan 7 2012, 05:29

QUOTE(Thanatos Zero @ Jan 6 2012, 20:19) They have the same link (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Whoops, thanks for pointing that out - fixed now. QUOTE Please let me edit Ester Ijiri (Sora no Kiseki) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (Hope there will be some decent Ys doujin in future) If no one accepts then I offer to do it for free (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) But I'm still a newbie editor so may have bad result. If anything, you could just typeset and I'll do the actual editing. Of any doujin editing tasks, I dislike typesetting the most. I'd rather do editing and redrawing instead. That's partly the reason why I fell behind on my editing of my completed bounties. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

QUOTE(lightshader @ Jan 7 2012, 10:20) [P-Forest] Mousou Desho Desho (Haruhi version) - editing bountyUm... I would like to try editing this one too but I found no script in the bounty. After I downloaded it I got the RAW instead (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) This post has been edited by Thanatos Zero: Jan 9 2012, 09:24

I can help. First: Bounties, you can accept/claim before the job is done, but's it up the bounty holder to accept your claim (or deny it). Edit: remove the text from whatever bubbles is needed and paste the new text (nicely), rinse and repeat. And don't think I know what the coloring method is (care to explain).

i mean removing noise or unclean tone for the picture. but because they're artist's original tone, i don't touch it at all. (i only do color leveling)

Well, around here, we tend to refer to "editing" as the full process of cleaning, redrawing, and typesetting. I know it really means fixing grammar in text, ah well. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) The bounty system is very simple, you can accept a bounty if you have intention of doing what the bounty is asking of (looking for a pic, a doujin, a translation, editing, etc), and that lets the person who put up the bounty know that you are working on it. When you finish your job, you can then claim the bounty. After that, it is up to the person who made the bounty to decide if you have met the requirements. If he's satisfied, he will approve your claim, but if he is not he can reject your claim. Or he might ask you to make some changes or improvements until he's satisfied and approves your claim. In your case, seeing how you're new to editing, I'm not sure if I'd want you to work on the one you picked out as it's rather... messy. I'd prefer a more experienced editor tackle it instead. If you've got photoshop, then you can do this typesetting bounty instead. I already did all of the cleaning and redrawing, so all you have to do is typesetting. Interested? Plus, since they're PSD files, you can see the difference between the redrawn and the original parts, and perhaps even learn something new about the cleaning process. FFT eh.. not particularly interested.. maybe later (could be weeks) if no one take it.

It's understandable. When I first put up a translation bounty for it, I thought the story looked interesting. But when it was translated, I was bit disappointed with it. Didn't even feel like editing it for looong time, but still it would've been a waste if things were left as they are. So might as well get it done one way or other.

The best way to learn is through practice (sounds corny, but it's true). =3

Gonna have to agree with that. You can get told how to do something until your fingers bleed but actual application is the only way you develop your own style. You can tell that from the works I've been doing edit on from start to current
