Holy fuck, for someone who titles himself "wordsmith" you sure as hell either can not read or comprehend. Did I fuck up when I typed "I'm joking here"? It was not meant to be in any way serious. Note that this is the free speech zone and not serious debates.
So to answer you question, neither, I have a nuclear reactor set to go into meltdown at my telepathic command.

I'm joking here but a false threat blaming her actions certain would show her true face.
That's not joking, that's merely suggesting the same thing only phrased differently. Suggesting something really stupid, I might add.
QUOTE(Shadow Weaver @ Nov 10 2011, 01:06)

And yet, you still suggested that taking such an action would get her to "show her true face". I fail to see any purpose to saying such a thing beyond being an ass. Feel free to enlighten me however, I'm listening.

Doesn't mean you need to go out of your way to prove that point with an utterly meaningless post in a thread that obviously wasn't created 'for the lulz'. If one wanted honest, candid feedback on a serious issue, the FSZ is logically the best place to do it, presuming one filtered out posts like yours, that is. Without the rules or restrictions of the serious debate forum, you get uncensored posts, which is not a bad thing. Maybe that's why this topic was created where it was, did you ever stop to consider that at all?

How so, no heart for VanGuard's plight?
Nope.
QUOTE(Ka-Datenshi @ Nov 9 2011, 19:28)
Can't care, or won't care?
Both.
That's totally your choice. Honestly doesn't bother me either way. After all, it was technically Benjiro's thoughts towards the topic that interested me, not yours.
But hey, since this is the first we've spoken in quite some time, I might as well keep the conversation rolling with a question or two. So, why exactly don't you care? Or is it that you see the question from the other side, asking not 'why don't I care', but 'why should I care'?
Oh and do you still feel the need to reply to those whom quote you directly? Because if I recall the last time that happened, our conversation dragged on somewhat unnecessarily.
There is in many things, even though said in jest, a truth. That truth was merely pointed out. If you you like another take on it. No matter what you think, all options, even those made in jest, are viable. I will say that one of the reasons I specifically stated I was joking is because of people like you who seem to believe that there is no longer such a thing as a joke.
You logic is quite faulty. The FSZ is by no mean the place for serious feedback because of the nature of the forum. Serious debates by it's nature keeps closer to the original topic and still allows for honesty with only off topic posts being censored. We now have this off topic discussion started by you and you are attempting to start another with rad. How can you claim something is logical while being the embodiment of the contrary?

I will have more acquit responses to everyone (as there are some things I really want to respond to) when it's not 3am and my eyes are not bloodshot. Thankfully, Today is Thursday and thus I do not have work. So that shouldn't take me too long.

You have no evidence whatsoever that what you suggest, false threats of a serious nature, would unquestionably force Gwyn to 'show her true face' at all. You're implying and even suggesting a course of action that could be taken that I not only feel is beyond unnecessary and immature, but would almost definitely turn out badly for VanGuard.
You call what you said a truth, I call it moronic dribble.

I wouldn't have changed a single word of what I've typed thus far in this thread regardless of where this topic was located on the forum. Everything I've said, including indulging your thoughts on your idiotic suggestion have been, arguable on topic. Did you figure that somewhere during this conversation I was attempting to convince you about the foolishness of false suicidal threats? I honestly could care less about convincing you, of anything. This is for VanGuard's sake. I'm providing a counter-argument against your idea for him to consider. That's it.
The last thing I want is for my silence on this subject for be perceived as support, or worse being in a state of agreement to your 'suggestion', rather than the position of complete opposition that I'm actually taking.

As much as I disagree with most everything you've said, you still have a right to putting forth your views on this matter. Hell, I wouldn't discourage that no matter how much I disagreed with you. So far this thread has been, at least in my opinion, a rousing success at it's intended goal of enacting feedback from "the unbiased and indifferent". As it stands right now, even arguable this part here, we're still taking about VanGuard's issues.
As for the difference between the Serious Debates section and the FSZ at this point, the former would ask for a well worded and logically written explanation of why letters are best sent along with suicide threats, where as the latter requires no more effort than typing the words:
"LOL, THREATEN TO KILL YOURSELF!"
-Vakuen
And that's it. Feedback received. That didn't take long at all, and another opinion is shared. That right there is a reason for choosing the FSZ over the Serious Debates section.

I am going to relate this to VanGuard's situation. I have said something, you have turned into an issue. However in this case there was no need to make it an issue. With Gwyn, she at least had justification to make an issue of the situation. You did not. What I said including a statement that very clearly means that it was not meant to be serious in any way.
As for VanGuard, send the letter and also (I can remember if you had and it is a lot to go through) ask her point blank if she felt that you had sexually harassed her. If she replies and does say she felt you had, then apologize and try to explain what happened. Don't be fancy about it. The simpler it is, the less chance there there is for another misunderstanding.
You probably will never get what you want, but maybe you might be able to salvage something out of an old friendship. Even if you can, I won't pretend to tell you that it will ever be the same but there may be a small chance to have something.
The cessation of an enjoyable activity because you desire it?
It's more because you look like a hyperactive, flailing retard winding up to the long jump.
But Shadow Weaver, who I usually love, isn't faring much better. He's more like the slightly too heavy kid in the helmet that's trying to run the hurdles.

That is certainly one most bizarre metaphor. Doesn't change the fact though that as long as I'm enjoying myself, I won't be stopping anything. Of course, nobody is actually forcing you to watch us 'run'.
So I'd typed out this big long quote-every-comment post then chrome eated it so instead, i'm just gonna kind of bullet point through the last dozen or so posts.
I chose FSZ over Serious Debates purely because I knew it would get more traffic (I don't know if you guys hang out in SD, ain't alot of discussion to be had over there).
I don't take exception to the whole "lol, threaten to kill yourself" comment because, eh, it's the FSZ #1, #2, I know that it was the post ending sarcastic quip. No biggie, no need to be starting flame wars because of it (I'm looking at you Ka-Datenshi ;D).
Rad, I know it's hard, and I know the FSZ is the damn near perfect place for you to do such things, but don't be an ass. Or at least, don't be an ass here. Go bug tens or something.

You were tired and hungry, measures should have been taken to prevent that in their (what I assume is) volunteers.
Technically, measures are in place to prevent that. It's called a six hour minimum work shift. Also, we're discouraged from (but not stopped from) working what's called a "Black Shift" (working setup to tear down as one shift) because of the habit of working ourselves to death (and dead enforcers are not useful enforcers). We're not required to work more than the six but if we want to, that's our choice, and it's a choice I make every time. My problem was getting so caught up in working that I never stopped to eat real food (something that I caught hell for from Morte, the Enforcer Welfare manager, who scalded me like a mother would for not eating. Love that woman; She takes great care of us. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif))
More thoughts (and a decision) to come. But again, I find myself at 2:30am and need to go to bed. :/

Scald? She burned you for not eating? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Kidding aside, instead of scolding you she or someone higher up should have told you to take at least a half hour break and in no way should you be doing anything until you've eaten.
They wouldn't let you work drunk or high (I hope) so why should they let you work otherwise impaired. Here in Canada, I'm not sure if they will charge you, operating a vehicle while overly fatigued is considered impaired. Not eating can cause low blood sugar and many of it's symptoms can be mistaken for being drunk mean you are obviously impaired.

I had a four hour long conversation with my brother Groove tonight and he told me some things from the heart that I really need to reflect on. It was a very good conversation and one that I needed to have I suppose; I really need to ask myself some deeper questions about all this.
Incidentally, I also learned from him that an Enforcer who joined up in 2010, was arrested at PAX of that year for possession of a controlled substance (in this case, crystal meth) and served a months time in county plus treatment and group therapy. And yet he still finds himself within the Enforcers. This is because he has not told PRD or anyone in the upper management. And it is very likely that they do not even know any of this transpired.
Long (VERY long, actually) story short, VanGuard found a place where he felt he belonged and because of a chain of events of almost tragically ridiculous proportions he suddenly found himself exiled from this community forever due largely to a massive breakdown in communication, some innocent oversights by himself and a ton far less innocent oversights from those around him.
Now he's lost a core element of his identity and due to the understandable unfairness of it all has found himself having trouble letting go of the past and moving forward once more. As a result he's become deeply introspective and is having to deal with personal problems relating to who he is on top of losing that which he both loved, and defined him as a person. That 'community' and the people whom reside there are what he refers to as his 'family'; basically a group of people he greatly enjoyed being around, some of whom would later cast him out citing various reasons.
Now he's trying to figure out what to do next, basically.
Sufficient tl;dr version?
That tl;dr mightn't make perfect sense to you, seeing as that was written for someone whom at the time did already have some knowledge of what had transpired, but it's better than nothing as I don't really feel like retyping anything right now.

Oh. Vanguard, unfortunately I don't know what you should do in this situation, but here's a song to cheer you up:
