Observing your screenshots, I'm not sure if you're can properly handle this port-forwarding thing.

1. mcafee enterprise is for business use, which means they're usually have more complex structure than the home version. I searched through the internet, but I cannot be sure if firewall is included.

2. You've simple port forwarding. Are you still using that? Is there any settings that you've tried?

3. I have noticed you set protocol in the modem as 'GRE'. Is there options to set it to TCP/UDP?
Also set both TCP/UDP for your router.

Final advice: I'm not an expert in computer networking, but it's a better choice to turn all your firewalls on and give exceptions to particular programs only.
If you succeed in using H@H, you should then try to see if you can turn your modem's firewall on, since it works better than window's firewall.

i have changed the settings and it hasnt helped. i even gave it 2 settings one for udp and one for tcp. it still isnt helping. would it help to mention that i have 160KB/s speed connection through qwest. i am not the account holder but i am the one who has access and is the main family technician.

i also forgot to mention i checked all my ports at canyouseeme.com and it said all of them were reporting back as closed. even port 80. i don't understand what is wrong. if i am able to connect to the internet through a browser like IE, Firefox, Opera, Wyzo, or Google Chrome, then shouldn't that mean it is open? i have just added the port exceptions for all incoming ports udp and tcp or whatever the 3 letter things are. short story i made them both completely open and it didnt change anything.

you know what. i think it might just be that i have a crappy modem. i have tried over and over. 3 different computers, 2 different routers, 2 different locations and ip addresses, and 5 different versions of windows. i even tried linux.... i spent 10 hours trying to get my wireless card installed and gave up.
but that is besides the point, my point is that i have had only 2 things stay the same. my modem and my isp. so unless qwest is blocking ports without my permission i would have to say it should be my modem. (which is over 9 years old by the way.). thank you all for the help in this. but it looks like i wont be able to solve this problem without
  1. replacing their old hardware
  2. purchacing my own internet service
  3. or cracking my library wifi and using that
so i see no reason to delay the inevitable realization any further. i cant solve this. you guys cant solve this. (not for a lack of trying) and this will just be a hopeless ehentai patron stranded from his fellow visitors and the contributors who make this site what it is.

i wish i could help but i cant. i have calmed down and rediscovered hentaiverse. so i am going to say a due. thank you all for your help you have been really patient with me and i appreciate that. but this is the last post i will make in this thread.

i will try again later when i have a different internet connection and modem. bye thank you all

Few issues here:
1) your forwarding all ports to the "local" DHCP address of router itself, the DHCP address does not actually exist to the modem. The router's true IP to the modem is 192.168.0.3

2) You do not have a static IP set up because it is within range of the DHCP which is not a bad thing but it will change frequently unless you keep the computer connected within the refresh time.

3) Ports do not need to be forwarded on the modem as the router is the only thing on its network, ergo all traffic MUST go to the router.

4) You're using a WRT device without DD-WRT =P

I suggest you remove the forwarded ports on the modem and leave the rest as is. If it does not work with said configuration then clearly you are having an issue with your firewalls.

Side note, I was getting a similar issue before and for some reason, setting the H@H settings to limit upload to be less than 100KB/s allowed the client to run and bypass that chunk of text in the asterisks (*) however updating the limit later on lead to little change in speed, even after updating the client, I was limited to under 300KB/s when my connection can sure as hell go well beyond that.

I am having the same problem with the error message with one exception. Upon failure, my internet crashes and i have to restart the computer. Crazy thing is that i can move to another computer and successfully operate the program. This is only a temp solution because this computer is prone to failures...

Well the assumption was that it just started doing that after working fine for months. I guess you need better drivers on your fresh installation. If the network issues happen on a [www.ubuntu.com] Ubuntu boot CD, then you obviously have to look elsewhere than the OS and it's drivers. If the networking is working great, then it has to be a driver or something.

Tried putting the name of your network card (find in Device Manager) and "disconnects" into a search engine, yet? It's possible there is a fix or you can determine if you'll be better off with a cheap $5 network card or free driver update.

Oh, and by "TOR" I see you mean a game and not the proxy tool. High traffic can kill your connection as well. I remember the bad old days of Windows 98 and rebooting once or twice a day to keep P2P (eMule) working. Heck, even just web browsing sometimes! Hehe.

Hey.
I finally checked what the setting called in my modem is.
It's Virtual Server - settings. wtf is a virtual server anyways ?
My port forwarding did not help, but Forwarding everything in virtual server DID.

I didn't immediately note such a thing in your screens.
So it's possible a software, installed in another account on your computer is screwing things up

Now then.
Lets make your computer like it's supposed to be without software screwing you over.
Run a command prompt with admin rights.

Do these in command prompt
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

Reboot.
If that didn't fix it, your ISP has put you behind a firewall, or what's more likely, there's a firewall punch in your devices that actually works, but not meant to be found by mortal people.

Meh, OP gave up. Not skilled enough to fix it or ISP is blocking. :/

What Bunko said is true. If you cannot get H@H to work on your own computer, you can easily rent a VPS or Virtual Private Server to run H@H for you. That's what I do. In fact, in works so well that I'm planning on renting a second VPS to run a second H@H client (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

But you have to have the technical know-how in order to get the VPS to run it, especially if you aren't very good at Linux, then this option won't work very well for you.

You also have to make sure they allow it. Anyone have a link to the topic discussing this? It lists the providers that allow this and have competitive prices.
