i have been trying for months to get this to work. i have used different computers. tried several different programs to do the port forwarding for me. finaly have the port forwarding i think at least a little figured out. i have my modem in dmz forwarding all ports to my router. and my router is forwarding ports 28900-28902 to my laptop. it has a static ip address. i have always gotten this showing up on my h@h console

You know H@H is optional, right? Why would this compel you to quit using the site altogether?

You've got a firewall or some kind of "defensive" software installed?

i know it is optional. i just keep using too much time trying to earn my meager gp and credits. i am frustrated because i have this good easy way to contribute. but it is constantly moving out of reach. that is why. i am just frustrated.
and also i have seen that and i added an exception rule to those ports in my windows firewall but it didnt help. i have mcafee ondemandscan turned off. and no other "defensive" software on my computer. i have also tried it on a computer with a clean install nothing on it. same rules nothing changed. so i tried just messing with my router and that didnt work. i have messed with the modem and the router so they both have no firewall and route all ports to my laptop and nothing changes. everything keeps saying they are closed. i cant think of any other things that might be a matter. i have scanned my computer for viruses and spyware. so they arent taking up my ports. i am almost tempted to see if just installing windows on my dummy computer and adding a rule to the windows firewall and forwarding to its local ip would do anything. i dont know. please anyone have advice

Can't you ask someone to do a port forwarding?

I have used a direct connection my entire life.
Just for kicks, I tried a port on my adsl modem that was behind a firewall.
Shit hit the fan I might say, even though I forwarded everything, i was still behind a firewall.¨
Then I found the place in the modem that actually allowed the traffic through.
This comment is kind of useless because I can't remember where it was.
If you're still alive, I might have to go back to a firewalled connection to check where I finally forwarded things.

If someone with a working brain knows the menu I mean, tell the guy.
By the way. PnP was disabled as default too, that's not what I mean.

This is the tool I used to check if the port was open or not.
[portforward.com] http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm
Direct link...
[www.portforward.com] http://www.portforward.com/store/PFPortChecker.exe

That will spare you from launching H@H to test.

Quick Idea: My modem's ports 1-2 are behind firewall as factory default. 3-4 are not.

May I check some details with you?

You've said that you've no other defensive software except mcafee. The question is: which mcafee's product are you using?
Most of the antivirus products now include firewalls, which you may also need to add H@H into exception list.

And as I have checked through internet, what mcafee ondemandscan does is to let you manually check your computer for virus. It should have nothing to do with mcafee's firewall setting (if there's any)

Personally I've gotten much more credits from gallery hits and downloads and I only have 2 that aren't expunged =P but I don't know if you get Hath from non-H@H contributions

the only problem with that is finding the art that is not on already and is what people want. i gave up on trying to find original stuff and found that torrent seeding worked alot faster easyer and gave me alot more. but it still was a pain in the ass. i have had 7 i think expunged. so i gave up on that route. thank you all for all of the quick feedback by the way. i wasnt expecting this to have so many replies this quickly

Flood control happens if you try to start H@H multiple times in a minute or so.
You can try to enable DMZ.

Observing your screenshots, I'm not sure if you're can properly handle this port-forwarding thing.

1. mcafee enterprise is for business use, which means they're usually have more complex structure than the home version. I searched through the internet, but I cannot be sure if firewall is included.

2. You've simple port forwarding. Are you still using that? Is there any settings that you've tried?

3. I have noticed you set protocol in the modem as 'GRE'. Is there options to set it to TCP/UDP?
Also set both TCP/UDP for your router.

Final advice: I'm not an expert in computer networking, but it's a better choice to turn all your firewalls on and give exceptions to particular programs only.
If you succeed in using H@H, you should then try to see if you can turn your modem's firewall on, since it works better than window's firewall.
