QUOTE(rinruririn @ Jan 23 2023, 09:15) There are various valid reasons to choose a particular translation for a term. Space limitations, the context in which the word is used, the translator's "feeling" of what is best and so on. 種付け is a term that can be used for both plants and animals. But you wouldn't use "seeding" for animals unless plant monsters or something were involved. 種付け is not normally a term used for humans even though it appears fairly often in hentai. This means that a translator is free to choose English terms even if those terms are normally not used for humans in English. Words like "mating" and "insemination" have the advantage of feeling unnatural (in part because they can feel clinical or lacking in emotion) when used to describe human sex, similar to how 種付け is actually unnatural when used in Japanese to describe human sex. Depending on the context, I feel it can convey a feeling that the act is animalistic or born of baser urges such as lust or the urge to reproduce, rather than love. Sometimes it's just used in dirty talk where anything goes though. [ ja.wikipedia.org] JP Wikipedia article on 種付けHello rinruirin, Hmm, i see what you mean, so the word itself with the translation of "mating" and "insemination" is rather related to animals creating offsprings since they are not fitting. Also the Wikia explains that it is related to horrible behaviors of slavery. And seeding seems to be a vlaid term for it too since it refers to plants. So, if one would say it rather in a doujin sentence where someone is forced, for example "そろそろ種付けタイムはじめるか" "Mating" in that sense would still be the more fitting one right? On the other hand a sentence like "逃がさないよがっつり種付けしてやるからか。" could use maybe then rather "breed you" cuz it would sound more natural then to use "mate you", right?

I think the choice of word would still depend on your feeling of what is best based on the entire situation and how the characters have been talking about the situation. For example, if there is a focus on impregnation and a lot of talk about semen and sperm, and there is no problem with fitting the word "insemination" into the speech bubble, then it's completely fine to go with insemination. QUOTE On the other hand a sentence like "逃がさないよがっつり種付けしてやるからか。" could use maybe then rather "breed you" cuz it would sound more natural then to use "mate you", right?
I think "breed you" sounds more natural.

Thank you for the explanations. I think it get it all now. It is still weird to see often the same word having multiple meanings even tho the Kanji often is the same used multiple times. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Gotta need a bit of a help again please. Artist dropped a continuation to https://e-hentai.org/g/2442778/b129151b10/ (will update that one later I picked up again to translate the new update and I am currently stuck in a inner fight to decide what makes more sense: The "ルビィもうイってるから" if it were to be connected to the previous pictures in the linked gallery would she rather say "Ruby is cumming already" or "Ruby is cumming again" ? Also, what would be the difference between まんこ and おまんこ? I saw that the お~ in front of it is supposed to be as a polite prefix. Though I have never thought about it further and used mostly "vagina" as word. Would まんこ maybe be "pussy / cunt (vulgar term)" and おまんこ "vagina"? Again would be inaccurate. イってる is continuous present tense. もう and また are not interchangeable . まんこ and おまんこ on the other hand are interchangeable although writers sometimes make different speakers in the same manga stick to using one word, as part of their identifying speech patterns. They're used interchangeably enough regardless of the situation that I don't think there is a particular reason to consider one polite and the other more vulgar. I think your choice of the English word to use may depend largely on the context and the character saying it. For example, for a refined woman who undergoes moral degeneration and becomes a gyaru, you could have her start off with vagina and later saying pussy or cunt even if she is still saying the same word in Japanese.

So the "もう" would then be "already" if I understand it correct. I had assumed it may had been "again" since in this page https://e-hentai.org/s/cd2a95d7de/2442778-28the guy described her as "A bad child that cums from being creampied". In which case she performed the action of cumming before already. Regarding the マンコ and おまんこ it's that the guy changed to use マンコ instead of おまんこ so I guessed he went from saying it nicely "vagina" to "pussy" as his voice got more agressive.

I think the important thing to understand here might be that already and again are completely different things in the English language. I'm not sure why you assumed it's again when もう never means again. Even if it was もうイった (past tense), it would still be I already came. Regardless of whether or not she is cumming again, there's nothing that can be translated as again in that line. So there's no need to worry about what happened before if you translate the line accurately. Good day everyone. I have 2 sentences here that I would need help with. https://e-hentai.org/s/a4913cb64e/2392898-3For context, on the previous page the girl got hypnotized. Now she is saying "ルビィなんでスカート" Is it a cut out sentence on "ルピイなんでスカートを捲り上げるのか (why is ruby lifting her skirt)?" https://e-hentai.org/s/698c3e9d2c/2392898-7"濡れてちょうど良くなってきたな。奥行ってヤルぞ。" -> You are getting wet and about ready. I am going to fuck you deep (?) This post has been edited by Draugarnor94: Feb 6 2023, 00:10

I am going to fuck you deep (?) Looks like she still has consciousness, when the guy asks her to roll up her skirt, she asks herself: wait... why am I [ruby] lifting my skirt...?! Of course the [“wait...” and “my skirt”] part is not in the original text, but that's probably what she would say.

Guys, can you help me with a quick question?
What does "yurugaba" mean?
I suspect it means something like "slutty" but I would like to be sure.
I have seen this tag around on videos of japanese women showing off their bodies, can't make much of it and Google won't help.

It's a combination of ゆるい/ゆるゆる and がばがば. ゆるい=loose/relaxed がばがば=gaping/has gaps or holes These terms can be used both figuratively and literally. For example, a ゆるがば pussy could be literally loose and gaping from being used a lot. In the figurative usage, a person with a ゆるがば personality can be relaxed and casual about most things (such as sex) and がばがば can mean they are unguarded or careless about how they live.

"teacher.... forgive... me" <- ? or "Teacher... pardon... me" "Ruby... can't anymore" I think it's more of begging to be spared or begging for mercy rather than apologizing. So "no more" or "spare me" or "have mercy"? For the second line I think "can't take any more" would provide better clarity since "can't any more" could also mean "can't cum any more," and it feels like the former fits better based on the context.

So, in this case, the exactly phrase is: ユルガバ ケツマンコ So it's pretty much "gaping loose butthole" (or ass-pussy like some say). Thank you! This post has been edited by hentaieyebr: Feb 8 2023, 07:32

I am sorry for the late reply, got a bit busy last days. Thank you very much for the help with that one. Ye, have mercy may be indeed better.

Good day dear people, The set was updated and now I am once again a bit unsure on a sentence. https://e-hentai.org/s/29fa882a9b/2468221-30先生が動いてやってもいいが黒澤に動いてもらうかな -> "Sensei does not mind to move, but maybe I should let Kurosawa do the moving (?)" is that correct so?

The idea is correct. But I feel that in English it would sound much more natural to use "I" and "you." For certain characters who habitually refer to themselves by their own name it may be acceptable to replicate that in English, but it sounds really awkward when the sensei refers to themselves both as "Sensei" and "I" in the same sentence. On top of that, by using "Kurosawa" instead of "you" even though he is talking directly to Kurosawa, it becomes much more difficult to read the sentence compared to "I don't mind moving, but maybe you should do the moving." or "I don't mind moving, but maybe you should do it instead."
