On second thought, it's good enough a translation, though I'll need to proofread that a bit.

Calm down.
He won't visit this thread again and again if he has skills around languages to point what is the problem.

Um, you may ignore something anyway...

Well, exactly as you translated. Your translation is okay as it is, but it'll take much more skills in English (more than I did anyways) to translate it any better. I know, cuz that's my main pitfall in TLing really, no offense meant.
(well, apathy is the worst offense anyways)

Well, I'm aware of that, except that miscommunications can happen due to slip in the tounge really, which is to say, whenever you least expect it.

How about this one - そういう計画のはずだっのにっ is the line from this page (second narration box), I think? The Chinese scanlation has the line as "This should've been the plan all along!" or something to that effect, I'm just questioning it because of the next page's lines that go "For her to become this cute, it's too unfair!" or some such. Not seeing the logic of him accidentally stumbling into a great plan but then feeling it's unfair... but him finding her being so cute to be unfair makes it sounds like he wishes he was that cute instead.

Maybe it's just late and I'm not seeing some obvious logic here.

そういう計画のはずだったのにっ, literally "Even though my plan was originally supposed to be like that"
referring to the previous bubble where he's talking about dragging her around just to show her the destruction of the human world, i.e. to break her spirit (presumably? I'm too lazy to read the whole story)

Just a side note, the next narration bubbles say something like "I shouldn't have turned her into a girl", "Her becoming this cute is unfair/cowardly", "I intended to turn Ashley(?) into a girl and break her but at this rate I'm going to be the one to fall"

Hrm, now I'm running into the problem of translating the Chinese, which I can read, or trying to get to the heart of the original text as best I can without much in the way of Japanese ability. A delicate balancing act at the best of times.

As I understand it thus far, in my first draft of the translation:
He's taking her around to show her how humans are destroying the planet (seems a little eco-warrior for a Demon King, but it's not like he's showing her stuff that he's destroying either... it's a confusing line either way around).
I took the narrative square bubbles to be isolated from the spoken text for the most part, so he's saying "Damn, I should've just done this from the beginning" (rather than follow the hero around for 5 years in disguise as a companion - yeah, his original plan was pretty shitty too).
The unfair bit is more that he's just totally taken aback by how hot the hero is as a girl, which is indeed making him to be the one who falls (I took that line to be "I intended her to be the one to fall, but in fact it looks like I'm falling?" more or less).

But by your understanding, he's upset from the very beginning of that page I linked, that he's been foiled in his plan (rather than happy to more or less enslave the hero) by her being cute? That might make more sense.

It doesn't help that, no offence to the hard-working Chinese translators, the translation I'm working from is sometimes flat-out wrong from what I can see.

Ok, I actually read the story.
They were on a quest to go kill the Demon King and they'd been travelling together for 5 years, with the Demon King waiting in disguise for the chance to defeat the hero (how hard could that possibly be?!)
Then the Demon King turned the hero into a girl to make him powerless.
But even after that the girl-hero kept following the Demon King around, and DK is like "Why haven't you run away, don't you hate me for what I did"
And girl hero is like "Well I was upset at first but I realised, I didn't like how I was born into becoming a hero and actually you turning me into a girl has set me free. Also I'm falling in love with you"
And (then onto the page you posted) the Demon King gets angry and is like "Listen, I'm only dragging you around now to show you the upcoming destruction of the human world at my hands" (I guess that's my fault for trying to translate it without understanding the story)
And then that narration bubble [...that was what I was planning originally, but..]
and the rest pretty much unchanged ["Her becoming this cute is unfair/cowardly", "I intended to turn Ashley(?) into a girl and break her but at this rate I'm going to be the one to fall"]
La la la and they all lived peacefully ever after

Right, ok. It was just that "Showing you the world I'm about to destroy" ambiguity and the interaction between that and the square thought bubble that I was missing, then. The Chinese ("that should be/have been the plan") makes sense in that context too, so I guess I was asking about the wrong bubble.

Thanks for that, this one kept me scratching my head until... er, five in the morning. Time for bed, methinks.

It's a Japanese proverb roughly equivalent to "Birds of a feather flock together" (edit + ってか gives something like "I guess they say 'birds of a feather'..." or "Birds of a feather, huh...")

That is just painful
I'm not familar with how people translate Touhou in general but literally just tagging on "daze" for ~だぜ is awful and ugly and shouldn't be done

>the screen suddenly became a blur
I can't think of any standard term for the "snowstorm" you get with no reception on analog TVs but blur isn't even

>it's always like this it'll work if you hit it
Not exactly wrong but not great, "Don't worry, this always happens. A little hit should fix it up"

>get working!
...

>let's ask nitori if it's about electric daze
More naturally stated, "We should ask Nitori for help with electronic/technical stuff"

>crap about sushi and mochi
Can't really think of a good way to translate this part on the spot (Marisa is misusing the expression 'mochi wa mochiya' replacing mochi with sushi, but ya(屋) is not a literal house, it's an occupation/shop but you can't keep that ambiguity translating to English)
Translating it literally wouldn't lose too much, "Sushi is best from a sushi shop" "It's 'Mochi is best from a mochi shop'" "I guess you could say that too"

Unless you really don't mind having to pretty much rewrite the entire script...
People just shouldn't translate into languages they're clearly not competent in

Eh, I think that's widely used and nobody complains about it (though I've been away from the Touhou scene for years).

People normally call that static or white noise.

Translator missed a line. Or couldn't read it, script just says (???).

The line afterwards is totally random too, "And the way you make cup ramen isn’t bad either!"
