I'm 99.5% sure that it's written:
売店。ドッグエリア

Probably 売店・ドッグエリア, really.

Now, I can't see how 売店 could be altered to make any sense, but the ドッグエリア could be that it should be: ドックアリア (Dock area) which makes more sense, but the mistake is so lousy that is either intentional (hence a reference to something) or the author was drunk, I don't know.

There aren't a whole lot of Xenosaga webpages that use [www.google.com] ドッグエリア, but there are more that use [www.google.com] ドックエリア. At least [www5f.biglobe.ne.jp] one page actually switches between ドックコロニー and ドッグコロニー, so it looks like it's not too hard a mistake to make, actually. And then, there's some pages with maps [gamekouryaku.com] that actually use ドッグエリア for an area on the Durandal, and you can see an ingame reference to the same area as "Dock Area" in the English game at 1:03:20 in this YouTube walkthrough (you can jump all the way back to 0:59:00 if you want to confirm that that's on the Durandal). So in all likelihood it is supposed to be "Dock Area".

(I can't shed any light on 売店, either, though.)

And I still believe that even a Japanese person with poor English knowledge would know that "ドッグ" is "dog". I mean, it's such a common word that people probably learn about it in the first English lessons anywhere in the world (along with "cat", "apple" and "the book is on the table").

Even if they do, for many low level ESL I am sure dog and dock sound very similar.

I am not sure if it is worth correcting for v2 until we figure the first part. Could it be "Dock Area Shops"?
