Yes, that is what I'm taking about. The stats of LMAX were right when they were recorded. Then suddenly, most of important attributes got slightly reduced.
Since there was few attributes got slightly increased in same equip with some specific prefix/suffix combination against slightly reduced with others, yeah, I was pretty sure that was a bug.

I think anyone asking that question is not too concerned with technical differences, otherwise it would be under "advice" not in the FAQ. As long as the answer tells them how to have more proficiency, then it is a correct answer.

Therefore two ways result in "more proficiency." Hinted at by the current answer, but not clear.

Train Assimilator. That is entirely what that henjutsu is for. That's fine.

It is the second part which is worded poorly.
The mechanic being hinted at is that you only gain proficiency in battle from skills you "use." But the current answer might mislead them into thinking that if they spam fiery blast 20x times in a round, they'll earn more prof than if they cast it once only. Which is incorrect.

What the answer is hinting at is that if you cast spells from different categories, you have "used" them, therefore will gain prof. The answer should clearly say to use as many different proficiencies in a round as you can, so you earn exp for each of them instead of only your "main" ones.

I think the answer should look more like this:

But other than that, there isn't really any way to increase your equipment-related proficiency gains anymore, since you pretty much get them for sure just by wearing and getting hit in combat or hitting the opponent with a single melee attack for the weapon style.

Btw, is it still true in this patch? Wasn't it more fitting for the previous ones when the prof boosts depended on the amount of turns a certain thing was care etc etc

Hello, still new but i just want to say something about soul fragments :
On the wiki, it's not clear that you cant get soul fragments on other way than random encounter. I finally made the test myself with the mogglemail to understand it's not tradable.
I think it should be clearly said in those 2 sections :
