After some testing, some conclusion on how monster will probably get a win 1. Monster will get a win even if it's dead before player die/flee 2. Whether a player die or flee shouldn't affect the chance monster is getting a win 3. The anti-farming system is good (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yeah, it has something to do with the PAB penalty/bonus system... Or possibly bad rounding in the formulas or something being dropped out, I have a few links of over 1 quality if I should post them here I will.

Hm...check to see if they actually have some common 'bonus'? As I scrolled through the equipment thread, most seems to concentrate on the range 348-352 and 359-362, with only a few abnormality. (One at 354, two at 357). That concentration is quite....disturbing.

Legendary Fiery Shortsword of Slaughtermight want to compare weapons to armor. ie, are there any armors that are above 350. if not, can suspect the EDB from the elemental bonus.

My guess right now focus on how hidden PAB works (whether it's a pre-set % or dynamic base roll +/-). Problem with the 'superior quality?' is that the observed quality value (over 1) is simply too small compared with the 20% bonus. (36x vs 350, it's only about 2-3% bonus)
As for those 351-357 values, maybe it's from the hidden PAB bonus on magnificents.

Need more legendary to look at? I have 3 old ones that are all 339 (2 PA) 2 maces and a robe. But newer ones are +350 with more PA. So wouldn't a light armor with 6 PA have the highest level or maybe a staff?

The old ones may get their quality re-adjusted across patches. And the number of PAB doesn't seem to be the major factor: it's the difference between (PAB expected on an equip) vs (PAB actually on the equip) that matters. More PA does give you higher quality, but it seems to be a by-product. More data is appreciated; but TBH, I don't have any meaningful observation after several weeks of analysis. The stuff that has been leveled up were all listed in the IW thread when they had zero exp on them. 338 very old 339 very old 339 old 339 old 340343 was 345 was 347 was 348348348 was 348 was 350352352354you don't need any info on the low end like flimsy gear do you? If you used a Mysterious Box or something like it would that have a chance for stats higher then what you can get from a normal monster drop? Or what about drops from the Dragons & Eila? Would be nice if we could get actual min rolls lol, too bad flimsy has a different standard then drops now. If you can find the worst crude possible it would be appreciated.

Because it's the difference between actual number of PAB and assumed number of PAB. For equips with more PABs, you're having a better chance to get that bonus quality. But that's not a must, so I said it's by-product, which is another way to say there's no direct relationship.
