Nah, it still would have 25% chance to fail.
Generally this spell in IA would only save your spirit from spark sometimes, not having mana costs thanks to absorbtion.

You need to get a few week's data to prove your point.
Also, because of the lower drop chance from training, you guys may have large fluctuation in the number of equipments received.
It's like you may have 10-15 equipments per day, while we have 30-35 equipments. You can see there's not that much difference in numbers, but the fluctuation (in percentage) seems to be higher.

Maybe it just today, but I've been getting equip drops (of various quality, playing on normal difficulty) on average 5 - 6 for clearing the arenas daily for the past few weeks. Will continue to monitor though.

My training status is as follows:
Scavenger - 6/50
Luck of the Draw - 2/25
Quartermaster - 1/20

Interestingly, I'm also getting the same results. The first day the patch came out I did everything on a high difficulty to test out the new loot bonuses. Unfortunately, even completing all arenas up to trio, there were barely any equipment drops besides the arena clear bonus so I couldn't get a good feel to compare the bonus. On the few pieces that dropped, they were all fine and superior, which is no different than from before. The next day, I reduced the difficulty by a significant margin and I got a lot more drops than when I was playing on the higher difficulty, which seems to be back to the normal drop rate prior to the patch.

I only tested one day's worth of each so I thought it was a fluke or something but considering that other people also noticed reduced drops, figured it might be a good idea to post my results as well. This is a wild guess but maybe the higher loot bonus from playing on higher difficulties is somehow affecting the drop rate? I really have no idea what's going on here, maybe it's just bad luck or something, but I'll continue testing to see how it goes.

Maybe the random number generator just needs to rev back up after the server change.

+1 for HV speed
+1 for combining shield + barrier spell into protection (I use both, and that costs over 20 MP)

I don't really see a difference in the drops being changed

-1 for no AP returned upon a reset for the AP from barrier
-1 for wasting 3.3kC upon reset, damn, that's 2 AP Training sessions.

So, I'm neutral upon this update.

It seems like my own equipment drops have gotten clumpy lately.

I'll go 4-5 arenas without a single drop anywhere, then i'll get a drop halfway through one, and three at the end.

It seems less like it's gone down and more like the RNG can't make up it's damn mind.
