IIRC 503 errors are caused by the load balancer not being able to communicate with the web cluster, usually after the latter starts derping for some reason or the other. In short, it shouldn't be anything browser-related.

I've been getting a lot of "That site totally doesn't exist, did you type it right?" out of firefox right at the time i usually do my arenas... usually sometime around 3-5 am EST.
Other times it seems to run just fine, so it's annoying me that i can't relax with chillout dreams from di.fm and rainymood going while i do a few extra arenas before going to bed.
Edit: hell it's telling me right now. bah.

I'm not seeing any issues right now, but try switching to Google's DNS service (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). It seems to be more resilient to upstream failures than most.

Could not find it again.
Is there really not something wrong? It worked perfectly fine until some days ago.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Dec 8 2011, 23:16) Yeah, for some reason the DNS has been periodically flaky the last couple of days. For some reason only the root seems to be affected, while all subdomains resolve just fine.

What Hath perk you bought that granted this effect, and how much Hath does it cost? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

What is the pre-require perk you need to get before that perk show up on the list? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ... Is it the 503-Be-Gone perk? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ..... Maybe its just me... But after the speed change, it was very fast for me too at first, then its became slower overtime... Now its almost the same as before, maybe a little faster. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Probably have something to do with my ISP since the time when I play HV have seem to affect the speed a great deal... Meh! Remember that the browser's Javascript rendering time has an effect as well. On my old laptop I have to use Opera with no plugins to get the sameless speed asthan my tower running Firefox with HVStat. Of course, since I haven't enabled HVStat in a while... LOL I've been playing HV through remote desktop and getting wonderful 'snappiness' although occasionally there are lag waves. But this is happening to other sites, so I'm not sure if it's HV or just my router hickuping.
The laptop also has a horrible download rate as well. Yay for Intel's worthless chipsets! (OK, it actually is probably mostly because of WPA overhead, but still... it's slow even with a wire to the builtin network controller)

Is there any other way to gain hath without a fast computer, because I have a slower one and I can't afford any better?
