there's probably a misunderstanding here. randommember is a melee player if i remember right. loveh is a mage. mages can afford to spend a lot on debuffs/prebuffs as long as they have decent sources to steal mana from whereas melee's dont exactly have that same advantage but at least they don't need to spend mana to kill stuff every turn

random you're probably best off joining the mace squad (make sure your mace is a good one)

i seriously can't see melee surviving any other way right now. evasion+mace.

monsters hit a lot harder even with shield and barrier up always (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

gems are soooo hard to get now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

and for some reason, may 89& hit chance misses once every 3 attempts (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

had no choice but to resort to clubbing (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

I am now preferring my Average Scythe over any Maces and Clubs. Except for the Scythe, everything else I have on are Plates.

I don't have any problem beating all the Arenas at my level on Normal. I do have trouble with Item World on Normal though.

even with scythe monster crit way too much and too often, should increase weapon damage to compensate (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
if cant then buff effectiveness must be increased - either better effects or longer duration or just reduce the monster crit and starting mp - too many are starting with enough mp to use magic and score magic crit

I forgot to mention, the way I work around the damage is to cast Shield in every turn. So it is a combo of Scythe + All Plates + Continuous Shield.

It works fairly well. I can often finish all my Arenas without using a potion.

Tenboro please please please PLEASE fix keyboard focus to enemy frame so that there won't be unwelcome 1.5 to 3 second delays in hitting things as a dual wield melee user.

edit: having mouse pointer over enemy frame serves to reduce the delay to 0.8 seconds....75% of the time.

I'm starting to get the hang of stun procs and magic crits from mobs, and now that I've got 12 item slots, I'm regularly doing Nightmare difficulty with no real issues. Just need some Shadowdancer gear to up my crit rate, because I'm still missing a hell of a lot.

BreastSweep crits you for 1336 crushing damage. I think that's a litle too much and it whose only one monster.

my magic accuracy is 97.1, combined with my other stats, I shouldn't be having misses in 40% of a 100 round arena when Arcane focus is active.

Then the game should indicate resist, parry or evade & not just a miss. An action by a monster to counter your action is not a miss.

Does it feel like artifact drops have become less likely? Before this patch, I was consistently getting 2 artifacts doing my daily Arenas with 5 levels in Archaeology, but now I only get 1 artifact every 3 or 4 days. Of course it might be an effect of small sample size. Just wondering if anyone noticed something similar. I also leveled up Scavenger during this time, but I recall Tenboro saying that Scavenger would only cause an imperceptible decrease in artifact drops, so that's probably not it.

Not only artifacts. It feels like the drop rates of Token of Blood have decreased as well. I used to get one every day or two. After the patch, I've only managed to get one token of blood even though I complete all the daily arenas every day.

Scavenger causes an increase in everything. You're thinking of quartermaster, and yes it's an insignificant decrease. I have been finding less artifacts as well, but I assume bad luck. If I find a legendary cotton cap of warding, I'll start asking Tenb if he's fucking with me.

Edit: Don't even get me started with blood tokens. It takes me like 3 days to get 3 tokens. Fucking irritating.
