Well I see there are additional descriptions of items looted by monster that "reforge and upgrade xxx". It may mean that there will be additional and better ways of upgrading equipments. Anyway it is quite tough to upgrade equipments only by running item world.

To kill effectively in this patch, you really have to be a mage or a 2-hand weapon user. The AOE and splash takes advantage of the excessive damage and allow you to kill multiple monsters at once. That's why you kind of don't see the mages complaining.

Before, if you were a 1-hand weapon user with a shield, you could take in time fighting a mob because you could tank the damage. Now, this is no longer feasible, if you take your time with a mob as a shield user when all the monsters are dealing excessive amounts of damage, you are digging a grave for yourself.

The changes are pretty welcomed. I'm noticing how hard I get hit, but so far I don't feel under powered yet.

So just for my own curiosity, is it possible to have an exclusive monster found only in the Crysfest that will always drop a crystal when it gets beaten?

Getting used to the update already. Having a Fine Club Of Slaughter that stuns baddies helps alot.

are critical hits much more likely now? i dont study the formulas of the game but it feels like every other hit is a critical now. it might be that my equipment is crap (which is very likely) but that wouldnt account for me landing more critical hits on the monsters.

I have also see critical hits by myself and monsters seem a fair bit more likely now.

Just reached level 100 here. I seem to be getting exp faster than I used to, though that may just be because of the new kill speed. Maces are viscious now.

On a side note, I decided to try Real Life just now. Using a decent club and a shield, at 42 one-handed proficiency. Needed a few mana potions, and RL only used it's spirit attack twice, hitting me once. Which triggered Spark of Life. Kept it pretty close to stun locked. I was hitting for 400-600 damage normally. And got me a new Black T-shirt. At level 100.
