So does Nerf now affect base damage and mitigation respectively?

As a somewhat lower level person, I'm also taking more damage than ever. I play on Normal.

As a low level player, (after 2 years browsing e-hentai, I had just discovered this game like 2 weeks ago), I think I'm getting killed more than before. I coudn't get past round 30-40 on a normal grindfest run ( before I could go til round 60+). I do realize that my 2hand sword seems to hit harder but the monster can even hit me harder than that ( They can wipe out my 550 hp in just 3 hit, sometimes 2 and I'm at lv 36).
Reading other post before me, I think this change made high lv players grind too easy and low lvl players have some real trouble.

My character took way more damage after the patch. I do not know what is the cause, could be evade or mitigation or something else. But it sucks.

are critical hits much more likely now? i dont study the formulas of the game but it feels like every other hit is a critical now. it might be that my equipment is crap (which is very likely) but that wouldnt account for me landing more critical hits on the monsters.

I just think of it, if our characters gets killed more often, does it mean the custom mobs get more chance for loots? So we are encouraged to create monsters?

Could be possible. Ive got 14 monsters and all but 2 turned something in when I checked them. Physical attacks are killing most monsters in 2 shots, and Spirit damage has gone through the roof. 3 points is enough to kill Zombie Cows and Manthras with one shot. Like others have said, and it's true for my character, attacks levels are WAY up, but endurance and defense have gone way down. I got killed 4 times today on the earlier arena battles cause im not used to worrying about my health meter until it is flashing red. Alot more devastating attacks from the monsters now. One thing I like about it, is that all those created monsters with the rediculously high defenses have had some of the piss knocked out of them. It's going to take some getting used to like all the other updates but by the end of the month most of us should be back into the groove. And hooray for crystalfests!! Yeah, I think there's something definitely off with the experience. I have 60/300 Adept Learner, no Experience Tanks, and five active Auras. Nothing has changed here recently. A day or so before the patch, with an experience bonus from making 1 post since the last Dawn, I made about 2,700,000 experience by completing all of my arenas on Heroic: Sealed Power to First Blood (bottom up). Today, still on Heroic, I do the same thing and only made 2,124,154 experience. This was also with an experience bonus from making 3 posts since the last Dawn. I'm not sure if such a large difference can be accounted for by the variation of enemies encountered; my experience gain has always been pretty consistent in the past. I also noticed that once I left Great status I started getting less than 1000 experience per round on occasion, which definitely didn't happen before. Also pulled my first Exquisite from a random drop (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Exquisite Gossamer Robe of the Priestess. I'm guessing it's shit though, suffix aside. Oh, and also, since last patch I noticed that I can no longer get the URL for an item by pressing C with Firefox 5 and now 6. The address bar in the pop-up just says Go to a Web Site. QUOTE - Exquisite, Magnificent and Legendary equipment now get an additional bonus to all stats, just to make them more awesome. The stat bonus makes them about 5%, 10% and 20% cooler, respectively. Tenboro, am I right in observing that Superior, Fine, Average and Fair equipment are also receiving a bonus to their stats, albeit small and insignificant?

Regen is useless right now imho, for me, with curatve at 68.54, it lasts under 20 turns, healing 60-70 damage per turn. in each turn monsters hit for something like 50-100. It's nullifying basically one or less hits. It's far better to just start keeping your hp higher and spamming cure, otherwise some agitated turdsock is bound to roll up in your grill with a half-your-health special and give you a new asshole to use. Then again, i could be wrong... but i highly doubt it in this case.

At this point, I've switched from keeping Regen up to Cure spamming and casting Regen II when I get Channeling. Still not much better though, since the multiple uses of Cure drain MP pretty quickly, and Regen II still doesn't help much against the onslaught of suddenly powerful monsters, so I still have to cast Cure, and maybe Barrier or Shadow Veil when I think it's necessary.

That is interesting. For me, it is the opposite. For me, Regen is always more cost effective than Cure. With that said, I do have to use Cure when Regen isn't enough to cover me. For me, Cure costs 19 MP and it heals 754 HP. 754/19 = It heals about 39.684 HP per MP. Regen, on the other hand, costs 23 MP and it lasts for 17 turns. It heals 83 HP per turn. 83 x 17 / 23 = It heals about 61.347 HP per MP. This post has been edited by oumi11: Sep 4 2011, 06:29

I don't like the implementation of this patch. I get killed more often than before, like my awesome gear is now just crumbles of flakes
I don't feel like playing anymore. Make things easier MY FOOT
