There seems a rumor going around that there there'll be another Equestria Gilrs movie some time this year, titled Legends of Everfree in which Chrysalis might make an appearance. Hopefully it turns out to be true. But for now I'm taking this with a grain of salt.

I think it's quite plausible we will see Legends of Everfree this year. Hasbro mentioned they had plans for it last August [1]. They didn't tell much about it, except that it's part of the EG franchise.

No we didn't hear anything from it since (afaik), and it's not impossible that it has been cancelled. But they have been releasing a lot of EG merch recently, and another movie will help sell that. Hence my verdict: Plausible.

Whether Chrysalis will be in it, i have no idea. But i hope so!

Apparently Hasbro is very keen to avoid any long gaps between MLP content. Apparently they are partly blaming the last such gap for the fall in toy sales.
