A promising start!

I didn't find the story or villain very interesting in this one, but it was still OK. But i liked the tone. It felt like the mane six are just a bit more grown up. If they keep this up, i expect i will like this season better than 3 & 4!

Spoiler text - Highlight to read...

So a few days ago i was actually thinking about what a shame it was that the old library was gone. It just really fitted the version of Twilight i like. And also how the new castle was kinda dumb. So i'm glad they addressed that.

While most of the ep was about the castle, there was this nice moment with Spike and Twi at the ruins that acknowledged the pain of the loss. However, it wasn't enough for me. Then we got the carcass of the tree in that throne room, and well, for me that just underlined the finality of this transition. I wasn't happy! I still need more time :(

So, sad, and otherwise a bit of a boring episode. But i guess it needed to be done.
