BTW I wanna share a secret with all of ya, guys - I've never watched the MLP during all these years of hype. I was loving it for music and arts. I knew almost everything about the show from songs, pmvs, chats and forums. I've been collecting MLP related music and art. But I've never actually watched it - I just haven't had a proper mood. Until last week, when I finally decided to do it and watched the whole 4 seasons back to back in several days. And now I can say: I love MLP even more now. I knew almost everything about the show from songs, pmvs, chats and forums. I've been collecting MLP related music and art. But I've never actually watched it - I just haven't had a proper mood. Eeyup, like all of us, I think. I still have two EG movies unwatched, though.
Speaking of which, I watched Rainbow Rocks the other day. While the first EG managed to do surprisingly well with such a terrible marketing idea disguised as a premise, RR was a bit more disappointing - which is to say, it's a lot closer to what I expected EG to be. It had some really good ideas hidden deep inside it, but generally the execution was weak. And why is it that for so many movies the sequel has to centre around some kind of Battle of the Bands? It's almost like there's some kind of template.

That is good to hear :) I'm kinda jealous... i wish i could watch some episodes for the first time. Like the one with the AJ+Rarity Sleepover at Twi's.
BTW, i get having to get into the right mood to watch a series, i've had that too, although not with MLP. Never regretted it, you should watch something when you enjoy it the most.
