Wow, I honestly wasn't expecting the finale to be that good. I was afraid that detail that was spoiled by upcoming toy advertisements was going to put me off, but the execution was really good.

I just hope it doesn't become another Gargoyles Helicopter.

I enjoyed the finale,
Spoiler text - Highlight to read...
it resolved some thing i wanted to see resolved, and in a nice story too:
- Better understanding of Twilight's tasks as princess.
- Resolved how Twilight's life and her friendships were going to be changed as a consequence.
- I now finally trust Discord.


Also a good amount of awesomeness. Twilight with all the powers, magic just overflowing out of her, so cool. And then that battle...

The "ultimate" forms were also awesome. Looking forward to fanart of them, esp. RD!


I liked how "the magic of friendships" was again an important plot point. The lore stills feels quite ad hoc, but it's good enough.


The question remains: what exactly was in that box?
