I don't normally tread around the pony threads, but I just saw some documentary on Netflix about bronies, so I wanted to see what some of the fans of this show were like and find out a little more about why this show is liked so much by the bronie community.

As I began to watch the doc, there was some major cringe-worthy moments right from the get-go. The opening started with what I thought, were the nerdiest looking kids I've seen in a while. I then immediately start to believe that this documentary will be full of fail, but I believe the makers of this doc wanted the viewer to THINK that all bronies were like that. But obviously, they're not all like that. So as the story progressed, I was moved by the stories of the people that they decided to follow and their efforts to make it to the various pony conventions around the world. There were some very touching scenes that I liked, and there was also one part that was very disturbing to hear about (a bronies car being attacked).
And it was really cool to find out that John de Lancie, who played Q on Star Trek, was that dragon character on the show. Nice!

Other things I took away from the documentary are the following:
- Tara Strong has the best rack on any VA I've seen. She's also got those great looking, Angelina Jolie dick-sucking lips that I'd love to go to town on!

- Lauren Faust isn't too bad of a looker herself. She's pretty cute.

- Some of those female bronettes(?) are pretty damned cute! Especially the thick ones!

- NEVER mention you're a bronie in the southern regions of the United States!

So my take on the reason you guys like this show so much, is because...

I STILL don't understand it. But, you bronies are OK in my book, so that's that.

Agreed. But these crazy people are a huge help in bringing us nice things, like comics and art and stuff. So it's not all bad.
