There's an extent which I agree with you, but the lover boy asked for it. You don't seriously
expect everyone in the internet who'd receive an irrational e-mail will have a common sense
to skip it by giving him a 2nd chance for not being mocked through network.

I do actually, when you have a popular tumblr lots of crazy shit probably comes through. Threats of false legal action, trolls, anti-clop bronies, yet you single out the guy that sends a crazy, but well written letter, then open him up to ridicule and mocking? Yes, love and tolerance is just ABOUND in this fandom.

So, is anyone going to watch the Japanese dub when it premieres next week?

A manga, you say? On the one hand, the current, western comic is pretty good, and if the manga has that kind of vibe going for it (the adventure plots, rather than slice of life stuff) combined with the potential for..well, glorious insanity I associate with Japan, this could be fantastic.

On the other hand, it could be terrible kiddie crap. Time will tell, I suppose.

Wait a sec, there are some mixed up points which doesn't make this subject right:
First, you make it sound like I'm defending trolls, douches (whatever) which I'm not, I'm simply saying
that people are different & it's bound to criticize each other. Second, just because there are dotards who
don't have anything better to do than typing "threat" letters doesn't mean the whole fandom is the same
stupid as them. And third, (I repeat) the guy asked for it, everyone can live their "own world" at some
degree but expressing it that much in front of other(s) it's not sensible.

I know you're not defending trolls, but if someone sends you a private Email containing things you KNOW are just absolute troll bait, do you go to your wildly popular tumblr and post the whole thing? I would hope not, because you seem like a sensible human being and putting that stuff out there is the equivalent of "Hey, pick on the weird kid!" All this guys letter said was "I'm extremely distressed about you making smut of my waifu," which I'm sure is weird everywhere but Japan.

And finally, yes, but he expressed it to one person, in private, who then made it public. I'm not saying this guy wasn't at fault, and he's made his choice to live a strange life loving a completely fictional character, but for fucks sake, I've seen weirder. At least this dude is happy with his choices. This whole thing has been blown so far out of proportion it's not even amusing to me any more. A guy wants to pretend he's married to a cartoon horse, okay, who gets hurt here? If you don't want to deal with him, fucking don't. It's not hard, just find the guy talking about his wife Twilight and ignore him. Or the other guy that says he's married to Rarity. I fail to see why we can't just accept that some people are a little messed in the head and that doesn't really matter at all. As long as he's not some trigger happy psychopath let him shove his dick in a plushie for the rest of his life. For the opposing argument, at least he's not going to reproduce. So let him do what he wants.

That was awesome! So awesome! I can't believe how awesome it was! More later after i calm down :)

Edit:
So... there were actually quite some things i didn't like about it. Most importantly:

• The dialog between ponies, like the opening scene, didn't seem true to character. RD isn't that dumb, Twi isn't that condescending.
• The amount of destruction caused to ponyville wasn't necessary for the story, quite out of place, and then glossed over too easily.
• In the show, a sonic rainboom is suggested to be a mystical event, having a meaning beyong being just awesome. I missed that.
• Don't joke about derpy's eyes.

The above fit a general pattern of giving up on the spirit of the show for the sake of the story, or worse, for jokes.

What all makes it so awesome anyway is RD's flying. This is done quite well: We see skill, and passion. It's why i love Rainbow Dash and the stupid opening scene can't change that.

• The, uhh, "other characters" :)
• So much awesome art. The end credits contain a lot.
