Check it out guys. Lauren Faust is getting with the Fighting is Magic game developers to make original content. It won't be associated with MLP when it's done, but at least the developer's hard work won't be wasted.

I'm with Pokehidden on this one. I don't like fighting games, the only interest I had in that was being the mane six, without them I just don't care. It's like when I see a fanfic that's nothing but OCs. Even if they are Faust OCs.

I think part of it is the assumption/hope that the "OCs" will be so similar to the original as to be almost nonsensical, and will retain the movesets of the original product...and then "Oh, look! Someone completely unrelated to us just happened to release a completely unauthorized mod of the game which turns all the characters into the actual characters they were supposed to be. We are completely shocked by this turn of events."
I dunno. Its what I'd do. Well, technically I would have responded to the initial Cease and Desist letter (given to understand those aren't legally-binding, which is ever so much fun) by telling Hasbro to go shove a pitchfork up their collective asses, then used the window presented to finish whatever could be finished and get something out the door before a legally binding order could be issued. But I'm something of an asshole in that regard.
