Actually, based on some images that came out the same day as the first shot of Alicorn Twilight, she IS a bit taller than normal. Didn't save the files, and don't feel like looking for them, but it seemed like she was slightly taller then Dash.

Maybe they have to grow into the height based on power or some such? Season 1 Luna was significantly shorter than Season 2/3 Luna, after all, and both were shorter than Celestia and NMM.

Like, honestly, I think it would look ridiculous if she got Celestia tall. Even Luna tall is a bit much, in my opinion. But I like them being squat and cute, rather than... whatever the hell kind of abominations Celestia and Luna are.

Given Hasbro's goal of shilling more toys, that wouldn't shock me over-much. After all, the only thing Recoome sells...is mercendise.

Well, that IS the only way to be sure. I'm just worried that, much like Cthulu, nuking them will only cause them to regenerate as radioactive abominations.

Well, the incendiary bombs'll just incinerate them, the nuke could cause the regeneration. but not the incendiaries. Having said this, the girl here with me was all "OMGWANT" on the picture, and saved it on their computer... her computer should be subjected to the most evil IT-fu I can muster.

Looks like. The Toy Faire promotional stuff from Hasbro talked about a new series, "Equestria Girls" where they go to another dimension and become humans, or some such nonsense. No images officially released yet for it, but...well, there's that floating around.

Up side, apparently its going to be completely dissociated from FiM. Maybe. Probably. Down side...well, do I even need to say it?

Anything more probably needs to wait for the official announcement they've promised at San Diego Comic Con. But honestly...this does not bode well for the possibility of the promised movie being...you know, ponies. Seems depressingly likely it'll be a lead in to this madness.

Oh, and lookie, more rumours - They've been planning this abomination since Season 2, and that's why Lauren Faust left. And we have a human Trixie in the same art style; she is tremendously blue. Like...smurf blue. She is now Trixie Smurf.

No, because these human's aren't cannon and it just adds to Brainsucks fetish fuel. I don't mind it nearly as much as alicorn Twilight mostly because, as you said, it's not directly associated with FiM. Of course it would be balls to the wall HILARIOUS if S3 ends with Twilight becoming an alicorn being immediately followed with her mother waking her up for human school and that's what starts the whole 'Equestria girls' thing. S1-3 was a dream and they were people all along. The massive amount of BUTTHURT would be priceless.
