My first thought was I like like this. My second was this looks familiar, isn't this based on a Gundam wing image? Celestia is the Wing and Luna is Epyon. Where's Pseudo when you need him?

I actually posted this last year, and mal and I discussed it here. I believe we came to an agreement that it was the Unicorn and the Kshatriya, since the image was made after the release of Unicorn Vol. 3. The funnels and four wing binders on Luna is what made me think Kshatriya (well, I suppose you could also say Qubeley) and the color scheme and shield of Celestia looks like the Unicorn. Plus look up the Vist Foundation's logo and you'll see its identical to one of the logos on the bottom right, and the Vist Foundation is the one that made the Gundam Unicorn. Then there is also the clue in the names, where Luna has a (Befriend Mode), akin to the Gundam Unicorn's NTD (Destroy Mode) of when it goes berserk.

Celestia as Unicorn Gundam and Luna as... Kshatriya? That's what it looks like to me.

Just finished watching the new episode. It wasn't particularly spectacular or had any massive revelations or anything huge like that. It was basically just Twilight being Twilight and Pinkie being Pinkie (you can't have premonitions about the future without Pinkie after all), so it was pretty much par for course on the enjoyability scale. It did have some interesting new references to the world of Equestria, though, so the fanon will probably explode a little.
