I don't care for that response because changing it means that we should hide whatever disabilities there may be instead of tolerating the people that have them. She was considered disabled by a few but still had responsibilities, a job and friends and people didn't shun her. That sounds pretty good to me. But, no, change the character so she's more acceptable, I guess?

Okay, I looked into this. The Colbert Forums hate anyone who isn't registered. Also, you have to register with a facebook account.

Basically, the OP's post is a tl;dr about Bronies, the origins of Derpy Hooves, how she is the de facto mascot of the Bronies, how some people think "Derp" is a slur and how Bronies are freaking out over Derpy's censorship. Seriously, he spreads that out across 12 paragraphs. He also links to a bunch of stuff like the Save Derpy comics, petitions and that tear jerker video. And he does link to Amy's response, but he refers to as an "alleged email correspondence".
