I wasn't aware there was hate for Pinkie Pie, and I also agree that her and Fluttershy are the best characters. They make the show pretty amusing.

I'd have to observe and think some more before I gave someone a pony name and cutie mark. After all, they are based on the individual.

I'm mainly posting in here because I've been watching MLP for several hours. I don't have cable television, so I didn't even know of its existence. Then I came here and saw ponies everywhere. Since I have this incessant need to understand things, I promply researched MLP to understand the question that has plagued me for a couple of days now: WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL WITH MLP?? Liek, srsly. I'll read through this thread for more research some other time. Right now... I'm supposed to be asleep.

Though now that I've watched some episodes I can say that I do like that show. It's much more appealing than most of the lineup on television nowadays. I'm not sure which pony would be my favorite though. I like all six of the main cast. They all have their charm. I like Spike too. He's funny.

PLOT HOLE!

If Twilight Sparkle could just lift the apples off a fuckton of trees at once, why didn't she just do that while Applejack was away helping one of the other ponies? She was so tired and out of it that she could have done it and just been like "oh no, you finished this before you went to help the others".
