It wasn't, I just wanted to post that pic and failed to come up with a good post for it. Just like this, I can't come up with anything witty, but I just love it.

For all you Pony fans, how does this show stack against ye olde cartoon cartoons? The likes of Dexter, Johny Bravo, PPG, as well as others like Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain, Freakazoid, Ren and Stimpy, etc. I've been curious, what with all the love on this thread*.

I don't think its a troll, specially if you read through the posts. Animaniacs was fucking awesome and now that you mention it, Pinkie Pie probably took a strong hint from those characters. I don't really think MLP: FiM can be put in the same category as the shows you listed (most of which I watched growing up on saturday morning cartoons) because it is still a girls show at heart. The reason it can garner such an audience is because it is a well designed show, and there is some good humor that can only be understood by adults i.e. 'the punch-bowl is spiked!'. I know if this was on saturday mornings, instead of the previous generations of My Little Pony, I would have watched it... Then again I did watch girl shows like Sailor Moon and CardCaptor Sakura (named Cardcaptors and horribly butchered in the U.S.)
