I actually read one MLP fanfic. It was one of the longer ones, called Fillystata or something like that, which weighted in at like 30k words.

The first half really wasn't that bad.

The second half made absolutely no sense, and the ending was horrible.

Story summary:

Luna tries to kill Trixie over a misleading puppet show. Twilight saves Trixie. Trixie goes all sad and tries to kill herself. Twilight saves Trixie again. Trixie falls in love with Twilight. Twilight and Trixie kiss. Luna gets jealous. Twilight starts dabbling in necromancy. Twilight kills a bunch of fillies for their blood. I wonder why I'm still reading this. Twilight zaps Trixie's magic powers and nearly kills her. Luna saves Trixie. Twilight kills Zecora. Twilight kills Sweetie Belle. Luna distracts Twilight while Trixie impales her on her horn and kills her. Trixie gets Twilight's powers and becomes an Alicorn for some reason. Luna and Trixie start making out in Twilight's funeral. I go ಠ_ಠ

I'm oddly interested in that story. Too bad I don't have time what with 17 credits this semester and my effort to keep a 3.78 GPA (or possibly increase it if I get five As this semester).
