So what's the deal with the Dragons? Is their ability to resist because of custom code, a function of their stats/PL, or from them being the testbeds for monster upgrades?

Whatever extra features they have, it seems to count towards their power level. It's too high to be accounted for just by stat upgrades. (Unless possibly they have illegaly high elemental resistances, which would be cheating. Don't know what the base values are for Dragonkin, btw, so I can't check the total points you could put in assuming no +50 cap.) Interestingly, the boss dragon has the same power level as the other two, which implies that their HP and SP modifiers don't count. Make of that what you will.

They are testbeds for monster upgrades. Specifically, they have a +50% resist stat bonus. There's no special code for them though.

It doesn't right now, but it might when the actual upgrade system is finished. But yeah, you can't actually make a dragon with those elemental resistances, primarily because you can't have a dragon with Holy vulnerability. Not yet anyway...

It's your level versus its PL as per this:

what is maximum number of custom mobs i can encounter ? does it depends on lvl only or dificulty?
i noticed it went up from 3 to 4 when i reached lvl 100
if it depends on lvl is it like +1 custom each 25 lvls?

Then it is only a matter of time. There are probably A LOT monsters at your level so the chance of meeting yours is small.

Since you are here I have 2 Questions:
Are you sure the magic Damage Formula is correct? It seems EDB is a less important factor now. When I compare a max EDB Staff and a (probably) max MDM Stick the MDM Stick seems to grant more damage which feels wrong since EDB only gives power to one Element while MDM strengthens all magic.

Also now that Magic Accuracy is important again could we have a small Bonus to Staff prof?

But then destruction staff is rarer than EDB staff, and destruction staff with high MDM is scarce.
That should compensate for the enormous power of high MDM staff.
