Okay, so I want to (re)watch higurashi no naku koro ni. I watched the anime before but it's really long ago and I virtually can't remember shit of it.
Would y'all recommend the VN or the anime?

The visual novel. Also, may I suggest Umineko no naku koro ni? It's the next visual novel by the same person, and is very good.
You can also find a ps3 Improved Sprite Graphics version/ voiceover version as well, if you want that sort of thing.
